I looked a couple of days ago, Lake Meredith is up 6%.

It is now sitting at 6% of capacity.

For Meredith, we need rain on the Canadian watershed. So basically, a small sliver out of the Panhandle, or better, New Mexico. All the rain is south and east of that.

Looks like most of the northern pandhandle has gotten .5-1".

They were posed for more but the storm collapsed.

Another cool link I use for work...

Streamer by the USGS

You can click around and trace upstream and downstream from various points. Very cool.

8" in the Lake CC shed just above the lake. Local news reporting it will fill to capacity again in the next couple days.

That's not enough water to make it past Pearsall.

All of that will hit the Nueces and miss Choke. Lake Mathis (Corpus Christi) is going to fill, but that is still not the major one for Corpus and the rest of the region's water supply. COE will probably piss half of that away to insure fresh water flow for the whooping cranes and the bays.

My mother just checked in and said she got 4.5". She is just a few miles NW of Uvalde.

I was there over the weekend and a lot of wheat was down from previous storms. I don't see how any will be recoverable now, but I'm no expert on it.

Lot of rain forcasted for the Frio. Hopefully some of that makes it to Choke Canyon.

Looking at the stream gages in the Upper Frio watershed, it looks like they're all flowing very hard. It'll be interesting to see over the weekend if there has finally been enough rain in the limestone and the flat land to allow any water to flow in the Frio river. Man that area can drink up a crap ton of water!

Over 12" of rain in the last three weeks on our place, near Snook (just west of B-CS)....and currently raining hard!

The Edwards recharge zone and the Carrizo-Wilcox recharge zone are basically sieves when it comes to runoff. That water goes straight down into the aquifers. It's why you can see the Edwards rise several feet in a matter of half a day.

Yeah. But it was great to see the Leona River gage near Uvalde showing over 10,000 cfs this morning. Numbers like that after all the water that's already fallen out there just might make it. It'll be interesting to see if the Dry Frio, the Frio, the Sabinal, Hondo, etc can finally make it out of the hill country.

Oh, and a friends FB photo taken this morning in Three Rivers...

That Uvalde-Crystal City-Cotulla-Tilden area got slammed last night and this morning, and Corpus is about to get it. That Nueces will be a sight to see in about 24 hours.

I started to run out and put some fertilizer on the lawn, but not with this kind of rain.

Kenneth, I saw that gauge reading and didn't know if it was right. USGS said that the max previous historical value was something like 500 cfs?
