0.25 just south of New Braunfels. Not even enough to keeps the dust on the ground for more than a day. Slapped in the face again. This year sucks for rain for this place.

That's can't be right we got almost an inch to inch and half in Seguin
And watching the radar it looked to be dumping on New Bruanfels today as well

Since the next week at least looks to be hot and dry, let's take a look at the long range outlook for this winter. The latest model guidance is in general agreement that an El Nino event will continue to develop and play a major role in our weather pattern over the coming months. El Nino events occur when water temperatures are warmer than normal in the equatorial central and eastern Pacific Ocean. El Nino winters are typically cooler and wetter than normal across Texas, and that is the forecast for this year. I'm thinking we could have another decent chance of a snow and ice event across a large part of the state. It looks like we will have plenty of weather to track during the upcoming fall, winter, and spring months!
