When I saw the title i thought for sure it was referring to Louisiana. I was kind of surprised it made then news, until I clicked on the link and saw it was in Los Angeles.

Coon is not on my list of must try critters, but I wouldn't hesistate to eat it, in a survival situation. $10 a pound is a pretty darn high, when you can get a steak for that price.
