Isn't that same upper on Radical's website for $20 cheaper?

It looks like it, but the one on Radical's website doesn't include a bolt carrier group or charging handle.

If radical is in Texas, they'll need to collect sales tax from Texas addresses also.

PA is in Texas also.

I too have bought from PSA several times, and know others who have as well, sometimes takes them a while to ship, specially during busy times, but they always do. If you aren't bad impatient, you're good.

I can be patient until about 12/23!

Primary arms is awesome, they make some great products and have great customer support. Not to mention they are practically in my backyard.

I decided to pull the trigger on this, my first build. Can anyone recommend both front and rear sights for this build? Optics will come later after Christmas. I guess my main question is for the front: should I purchase a front sight gas block or a flip-up sight? I'm a noob.

Low pro gas block and then front sights would be my choice.

A fixed front sight looks like this


The lo pro gas block + flip up sight gives you the ability to flip the front post down so it doesn't interfere with low power optics (1-4x or 4x fixed scope).

The fixed front sight doesn't flip down but has the gas block built in.

FWIW I have a fixed front sight and it "ghosts" out in my 4x fixed scope which means that the tip of the post is so out of focus at the bottom of the scope that it is easily ignored. If I had built the upper myself I would have do a lo pro with flip up but I bought the upper from PSA.

Ah. Thanks. The gas block was throwing me off. This will be my first AR so I'm questioning anything that I don't immediately know the answer to.

Since this upper already has a gas block, what are the alternatives?

What are your thoughts on this scope? I don't need a lot of magnification, but want some. The wife gave me the OK to buy the gun, but spending another $500+ on a scope will probably not set well without her beginning to look at things.

I have the compact 4x ACSS, first impressions of it are great but haven't got much range time with it so far, in college and my guns are at home, but the glass is clear, illumination is daylight visible unlike some low priced scopes and it feels really well constructed.

The upper in question has a rail over the gas block but yeah, I guess I should've clarified that.

Upper from RA should be here today, but I'm still waiting on PSA to actually get past the processing stage....been in processing for 4 days now!

Last lower I bought took them right at a week to ship.

I think the upper I bought from them took 10 days or so from order to my door

My upper arrived yesterday but my lower is still processing.

PSA is GTG

PSA is notorious for slow shipping, especially on FFL items. The website even says to allow for 2-3 weeks for shipping on some items. Just give them time, they will deliver....

I have two FFL items shipping to a PSA location in South Carolina so hopefully shipping isn't quite that long. Good to know though.

You PSA guys might want to give them a call and make sure they have all your FFL info in order. Ours was on file with them, and showed up on the invoice when we ordered, but they sent us an email saying he had to submit his info again.

He did so, but they didn't ship. So I contacted them after two more weeks, they said they didn't have FFL info on file, even though he's on their preferred list, and had already contacted them. He also had received several other items for other customers since this spring.

All told, he said he had to submit paperwork to them five times! It took almost a month to get a gun through an FFL they had on file.

It's beginning to sounds like PSA is very poorly run.. Mine is still processing as well. Been a week
