Good deal. I'm constantly telling my friends who don't have ARs that if they ever are going to get one, now is the time. Prices are still super low and we are one dumb politician or mass shooting away from another scare and resulting price run up. If you ever think you will want or need one, do it.
I'm new to this, so forgive my rookie question. Are those the only things needed? Outside of a scope, I could put that together and throw some lead down range?
The lowers have to be sent to an FFL, correct? I'd think about getting a lower but don't know of a fairly cheap FFL in the Houston area.

I use houstonffltransfer.com in Spring. they charge $15 pertransfer, or $10 for CHL holders.
Check out Radical Firearms in Stafford. That's where PSA is getting the uppers. Maybe they can make you a deal.

Yes. There are two metal pins that connect the complete upper with the complete lower. You can connect the two in 30 seconds.
free floated too. most rifles in this price range have those plastic capped handguards. If you want a light use, no frills rifle, this is decent.
Are the barrel & bolt MPI tested?
I'll be doing $15 transfers in West Houston (thinking about doing the first one for texags posters free if you'll post a Google review) but won't be until January

This is a great deal! However, I have never done an FFL before. Does anyone know a good place to go in the Arlington/Mansfield/Fort Worth area?
Purple Heart Pawn in Fort Worth is who I use and it's Aggie-owned. I highly recommend them.

It is. PSA already has our FFL so all you have to do is order it. They'll include your name and number so when it gets here we'll call you.

Yes. There are two metal pins that connect the complete upper with the complete lower. You can connect the two in 30 seconds.
Since it is a flat top upper you'll need sights, but other than that it's good to go.

Man, I bet those people who paid $2k+ for ARs a year and a half ago are kicking themselves. I know I'm mad I didn't sell mine at the time.
Chupa: I got lucky and assembled my first AR for $300 pre Sandy Hook and sold it for $1500 two months later in January.
Ray's wants $50 for a transfer. I know they have a good reputation, but every time I've dealt with anyone there over the past 5 years they have been anywhere from unhelpful to downright rude.
In case anyone else in Dallas is interested and needs an FFL I ended up using Black Bag Shooting Sports on Greenville Ave. They charge $20, have an easy form to fill out on their website, and were nice and helpful when I called.
Got the blessing from the wife. Going to order when I get home.
Palmetto state armory has some garbage reviews. Hope chase doesn't have to go fight for my money. The primary arms upper shipped this morning!
