Received notice of shipment for my P290rs today after purchasing on 12/7

PSA musta been busy this weekend..my AR-10 is now in transit!

Looks like mine arrived at purple heart pawn in Fort Worth. Probably swing by after work and grab it.

The Beretta is in now and the lower should get here tomorrow! Weird thing is, I was being sarcastic when I told the wife I got it for her for Christmas but she took me seriously and thinks it's awesome.

I'll need to pick up the pins to assemble the upper and lower. Dumb question - are any special tools required?

The pins should already be inserted in the complete lower. Just pull the pins to the side of the lower, align the upper and lower and then push the pins back in. Done.

@&!%*# UPS!! My lower was due to arrive today but the delivery date has been changed to tomorrow.

Yeah, shipping this time of year sucks. I'm sweating bullets on two uppers I am building for people. The parts were supposed to be here tomorrow but have already been pushed back to thurs...

Got mine in. Everything goes together nicely.

At this point the upper hasn't shipped from DSG anyway. Can't wait to swing by after work and pick up my order though.

I picked up the order yesterday afternoon. My thoughts were:

AR Lower came in looking just fine. One of many dumb questions/comments from my end... I can see adjustments on the stock but none of them seem to want to move (easily). I'm probably not pushing the right lever. Which ones allow it to slide?

I've seen a couple of other reviews for the Italian Police Beretta trade-ins out there so I had a pretty good idea about what condition to expect. The one I got looks much better. There are two scratches near the trigger about 1/10" and nearly no signs of wear anywhere. Someone used it only a handful of times and probably just left it in their desk. It weighs a ton - reminds me of a .45 that someone in my family had that I haven't seen since the mid-1990s.

My lower came in yesterday and it took about 45 seconds to assemble. I can't wait to get a scope and get it to the range.

no, doesn't appear so

Yeah, post a pic.

You look at seeing if you can force the pin out by going through the buffer tube where it attaches to the lower receiver.

As far as the butt stock issue described above...If I'm understanding you I believe the magpul STR stock has an additional locking lever in the center of the triangle in the photo on original link photo. If this is what you are referring to, grasp the top of butt stock and squeeze the lever until it clicks and then you can slide it out. After you get it to proper length, you can re-lock it and it wont rattle like a lot of stocks do.

Figured the adjustment out last night. The rattle... it sounds like there's extra hardware floating around. I'll remove the butt or pull the stock all the way out and have a look this afternoon.

That extra hardware is a plastic magpul 5.56 replica. You have 2 compartments that jut out from the stock on either side of the stock at the top. From the rear of the stock, simply pull the cover off.

No problem man- I know holiday shipping is crazy. Plus, my ammo arrived only yesterday.

You can use that little plastic round to tap the forward pin out enough to grab it. I have no idea what else to use it for..maybe release the buffer tube, too.
