I've never posted for our business on here before, but I'm going to start giving everybody updates as what we are and how we're doing fairly often from now on.

The Oyster Bayou Hunting Club was founded in 1976 by my father. We are located primarily on the Lagow section of the Barrow Ranch, which resides in the middle of the Anahuac Wildlife Refuge. We've been a very highly respected member of the duck and goose hunting community for a long time and have done over a million dollars worth of projects with Delta Waterfowl, Ducks Unlimited and the Anahuac National Wildlife Refuge. My father won the first Houston DU guide of the year and also received the land steward of the year several years ago. This past year we averaged 5.7 birds per customer and shot nearly 7,500 birds.

The Chandeleur Island Charters were established in 1981 and we were the only truly guided charter in this island chain for the last 10 years of our tenure. For those of you who are not familiar with the Chandeleur Islands, they are a set of barrier islands outside the mouth of the Mississippi River. The south tip is about 35 miles east of Venice, LA and the north tip is about 35 miles south of Biloxi MS.

Due to Hurricane Ike taking out our hunting lodge, as well as numerous other tropical depressions and an oil spill we decided to temporarily forego our fishing charter for an undetermined amount of time.

We founded the Oyster Bayou Lodge in 2008. We are still hunting the same property and our new lodge is located on FM 562 in Anahuac, TX.

The OBL is located near Smiths Point and is near 5 different boat ramps which creates a very convenient advantage for fishing Trinity and East Bay. We are fishing with the same guides which fished for years in the Chandeleur Islands. They also have guided in Port O'Connor and the Galveston Bay systems for the past 30 years.

I am rebuilding our website for the first time since 2008 and will oblige to "rule #1" just as soon as I am finished.

We have first class facilities, excellent creole-cajun cooking, and we truly are the cadillac of the duck and goose hunting world.

Once again, I apologize, website to come shortly.
