It just seems like you don't want to do that...so you would have been better served to just pay the electrician to do the job and be responsible for making it work.

Lucky for you, blue and orange both sell HDMI wall plates and cables, so, if you felt so inclined, could replace the MP wall plates with another brand and see if that solves your problems.
