My daughter is about to turn 11 and has shown a lot of interest in 3d printers. I've never messed with one but think they look really interesting and I love tinkering with things. My daughter mostly loves the little articulated toys and wants to learn how to print them. I'm thinking about buying one for her birthday.

I see the a1 mini combo listed pretty frequently and the price isn't too bad during their end of year sale. Can anyone give some advice?

Is this good enough to print little toys? I know I need to do some more research.

I would recommend getting the A1 over the mini. The larger build plate opens up so much more printing.

Thanks Fatzilla. I actually bought that today. When I posted yesterday I hadn't seen the a1. Seems like a good all-around beginner friendly option that didn't completely destroy the bank. Thanks for the input!
