I have a google hub, several chrome casts, several dots, and one of the screen things that sits in the kitchen. Had them for years and they were great. you could ask it to stream netflix/spotify, pull up recipes, add stuff to your grocery list, turn lights on and off, my kids could ask it to start their favorite podcasts, set alarm clocks, set reminders, etc.

but the last 6 months they have absolutely **** the bed and are now basically worthless.

Every time I ask it to do anything, it takes 10 seconds and then says "something went wrong". Even when you ask it to turn off the morning alarm clock. its constantly saying it doesnt recognize my voice anymore. nothing works. the chromecast now refuses to show up when I try to cast to it, but it still puts those cool pictures on the screen.

What the hell happened to these products?

For the first time since Android existed, I'm finally looking to buy into Apple ecosystem. Pains me to say it

I have one of the first generation home speakers on my nightstand for sleep sounds. It's the only Google device, everything else we have are alexa based.

The Google Home has been having the same connection problem lately. I have to unplug it and plug it back in. That being said it is so much better at answering questions and obeying commands than Alexa, it's not even close.

Hmm. Not too many Google products in my house. 2 Nests, 2 Nest Max's, 1 doorbell. All continue to work pretty much flawlessly but maybe we're not very heavy integration users.

Oh, and Google Nest WiFi (1 main and 3 points)

Jinxed. Now my Google Nest is not responding to "View Memories from this day". It's supposed to show my Google photos based on the date stamp of the pic currently being displayed. Instead it says something like "Here's what I found on the web" and shows a search result.

Guess I have to initiate a chat session with Google support.
