Costco

https://www.costco.com/lg-77%22-class---oled-b4-series---4k-uhd-oled-tv---allstate-3-year-protection-plan-bundle-included-for-5-years-of-total-coverage*.product.4000270696.html

Thinking about pulling the trigger on this vs the 65" C4 or 77" C4 that's $600 more

$1599 for the B4 77" seems legit

Edit: wrong emoji, sorry

Is the C4 that much better than the B4

$1,599.99 vs $2,199.99 right now

Not sure if it's worth the extra $600 at this price point

I can't say one way or the other.

Ahh yes I was thinking about the 83". I picking one of those up for $2500, which right now is $2000 off. The B4 is an excellent TV from what I've heard and read.

Edit: did not realize there was discussion on B4 vs C4

Looking for 77" upstairs kids game room (and will be used for movie nights etc).

I saw the two side by side at NFM. C4 brighter. Not sure if I will regret going B4. I could make c4 in budget but have to cut other areas.

Jumping in. Looking for an OLED for upstairs game room / movie room.

I do have a budget

The LG B4 is in budget. C4 is $600 over budget.

I can tell the difference in store but how much will I really regret doing for the lower end model.

Is the C3 an option anywhere? That could be a sweet spot in price and quality, if it's still for sale. When I got the C3 last January (before the C4 was released), the C2s were still around and at good prices.

Good question. I will see if I can find a c3 but want to see the diff between c4 and c3.

Definitely see if that's even an option and if you can check it out. If it's between the C3 and B4 at similar prices, id think that the C3 would be the better option. Maybe others can confirm or correct if I'm wrong?

$1,599 for the B4 - Costco

$1,899 for the C3 - Best buy

$2,199 for the C4 - Costco

Benefit of Costco is the incredible return policy and going to buy a washer from them so additional discount on those

Tough call

I am leaning towards the C3 but still researching some. Planning to buy this weekend.

Huh. I got the 77 inch C3 for about $1900-1950 during this past year's superbowl sales, on amazon. Costco was about $1950 at that point if I recall correctly, with their extended warranty (I was going to go with them but that sale occurred after I already had mine delivered). Having it still be the same price seems odd...

eta my mistake, I just checked my order and it was $2050, so I got the number a little off, my apologies.

Is it possible for a tv to be too big?

About 8 ft from couch to wall. Marking off 77" and 65" but think I messed up the 65" by a bit.

I had the exact same question and situation a year ago. My couch is pretty similar distance to the wall with the mounted tv. I went from a 65 to 77 after a flood destroyed my 1 year old C1 last year, and I must say, I have no regrets. It looked huge at first, but now it's more like the 65 looked small.

Ok good to know. I figured I would be more likely to regret going small vs large but wanted to ask and get opinions.

I think too getting a new and larger console under will help keep the tv from seeming overwhelming in the room.

You will never think it's too big, IMO. I have an 85" and sit 8 feet from the screen. It's beautiful for watching football.

Definitely get a wider console, otherwise itl look silly; and mount the tv if possible. If you're planning on putting the tv on it, then a 70 inch console at minimum. IMO, should be wider than the tv width.

Agree. The wide console search has not been easy. we have a 70" minimum width. Prob 84" max width. Some long are too short in height. Some that are the right height are too small in width. Not going to install tv until we get the console

Personally I prefer the shorter console heights, so that the tv doesnt end up too high. Ideally it is centered so you're looking straight at it, not up. The console I bought to replace my destroyed one is a bit taller than I like (the old one I had was a perfect height, and maybe 6 inches lower), and then I put a large center channel speaker on top, so I had to mount the tv right over the top of the speaker, leaving it a little higher than I preferred. Lesson learned.

We are battling that white chair rail in my pic.

TV will go just above it.

The console can't be too short or will look odd.

If I get 30" tall the soundbar will sit right where the chair rail is and then tv just a few inches above.

Yeah, I noticed that and wasn't sure the best solution based on measurements. I think I measured all the different components of my setup like 20 times before I got everything set up to work best within limitations of the space. And like you said, having everything in place prior to mounting is necessary. I actually bought the console last, determined based on what height I wanted the tv to be.

I think your approach will work well. I have a horrible imagination, so I rely on numbers and marking best layouts (like you did on the wall) to try to work around what some people can do just by imagining it.

I see that. It's a non-Prime offer by a seller I am not familiar with. Little hesitant but great price.

We went with a 83" B4 for the $2k off Black Friday sale.
Installed a couple days ago. Looks great in our living room! Not sure how much better another $600-$1,000 would contribute to picture quality.

Well WalMart, through the same seller, had the 77" LG C4 for $1985.

Amazon offer went away at that price but it was still on sale at Walmart.

Only $86 more to go from C3 to C4.

Only went over budget by about $400 lol.

See if that works.

The sale is no longer on Amazon. Walmart still has but 6 left. I ordered one. Says backordered but arrives by Dec 17 which I am ok with.

Anyone do a lot of gaming on the C4 that can speak to any issues with burn in? I was looking at getting one for our game room, but my kids will use it a lot and the likelihood of them leaving static images on the screen is high.
