Yes, 10 minutes is tough. I'm getting closer but not there yet.

Teadoh makes great maps. He recently made an aim training map that helps find your best settings. It has really helped me out. If the bots don't spawn, restart the island.

The weird thing is that they're doing the Winter Royale completely opposite of their forced cross platform play. PC will be its own competition, Xbox/PS4 on their own, and switch/mobile/touch on a third separate category.

My 11yo loved it too. although he thought he'd missed it even though he was waiting since 12:30.

Was taking the disappointment well and then boom he got logged in and was so excited.
cool tie fighter/falcon bit and landing.
crappy teaser/trailer though.

Yeah. That clip was a disappointment, and all the talk and jibber jabber before the clip was unnecessary, but I get it. It is still mind blowing to me that these events happen in a fictional location and people log-in to take their avatar there to observe it in real time.

It is much easier on duos or squads. You have to attack the guy with the light saber from 2 different angles. If you are shooting from the same box, they can block everything. It seems you have to be at almost a 90 degree angle to land shots.

In solos, your screwed if you don't have one. I've had to give up an inventory slot to carry one. I haven't figured out if giving up the shotgun or smg or heal is best!?! Try to build over the top and shoot down on their head or hop over the top of them is your best bet. It is hard to swing the saber upward. However, I've seen professional streamers die frequently to someone spamming a saber so I know my bot ass isn't doing much better.

They aren't in arena modes so you could play solos until the lightsaber goes away in order to avoid them

If you have half to full shields, when the player with the lightsaber gets close, rapidly close the distance and shoot at their head when they go to swing the saber. Killed two players that way.

If you have a trap, you can also lay it on the ground when they lunge at you. You just have to time it well.

The snowball launcher works great on lightsabers also.

On a personal achievement note, I've been playing since season four and today for the first time I won back to back games. That brings my total to 37 all time wins. Skill based matchmaking has definitely helped me this season. I've won 12 games this season and actually enjoy playing and feel like I have a chance every time. I know that sbmm pisses off really good players but I think it was a good business decision for epic to keep players like me involved.

SSBM isn't the problem. Forced crossplay is.

I agree that cross platform is the big problem for players like me on Xbox or PlayStation. But the pc pros that complain just ***** about sbmm because they have nothing but sweaty lobbies.

Skill based match making has made it a much more enjoyable game. I don't win 90% of the time but it's a lot more enjoyable having a chance to win.

I think I won 2 solos ever before season 2 and a dozen or so squad or LTM modes.

I'm at a dozen solo wins and don't even do squads that much but have two or three this season. I have moved out of the bot phase where I don't find those anymore.

I hate them. They are so OP.
I wish they wore down over time. For instance, if you block bullets with them, they slowly take damage until they are broken.

I really don't like the lightsabers even though I think they are fun and are great for farming. But overall They really screw things up in the game. I now feel like I have to carry either an rpg or snowball launcher as they are the most effective means of countering opponents with lightsabers.

Sometimes I do but other times I prefer a sniper or extra heal. I don't know why you think that's so fing funny. No need to be a smartass as about it. Do you always carry an explosive? Because I can think of plenty of times where carrying extra shield, fish, medkits, or a bandage bazooka made way more sense than a noob tube.

The game is a cartoon with weapons and dancing. The whole concept is funny to me.

Same. My ideal load out is a blue or better sniper, burst rifle, shotgun, SMG (first thing I drop if I need to carry explosives or an extra heal), small shields.
