We were playing a squad game last night. We played aggressive and had 15 kills as a squad. Then we lost to a solo using the Slurpy Swamp exploit!?! WTF Epic?

Was watching Upshall this am with my coffee. He was playing Solo-Squads and had 22 kills including squad wiping Dakotas (with a squad of randoms). He died at the end to someone using the exploit. Hope this gets fixed soon and hope all those people get banned.

I just played a solo match where I killed 10 bots and then the last guy was a freaking master builder who took my wall and killed me with a trap. WTF. How did I get matched with THAT guy?

With Chapter 2, it looks like we have more people playing this again. I am friends with several folks on the game but it might not hurt to do a recap of the gamer tags again. I looked on the first page and there are several that I do not see. Chapter 2 has been fun and the bots definitely decrease after playing a bit. We still run into them in games, but its normally early and seems to only be one encounter. Personally, I am ok with being the bot slayer... LOL. (Agbonfire1999 on Xbox and SmokinBourbon on Epic)

The Storm King LTM is a lot of fun. Super Hard but really really fun! Would recommend for anyone playing with friends. The key is to Rez and keep all 12 alive!

Most of my friends have stopped playing due to forced cross play. Not sure I've seen a worse decision by a gaming company.

I think this season is better than any other so far. I love the new map. My only complaints are cross play from console to computer without a computer in your party and there are too many rocket launchers spawning right now (minor).

I'll say it's refreshing not to have weekly updates that have dumb items/weapons to change the meta. The smaller loot pool is also great aside from the RPG and grenade spawn rate. It's been since probably season 3 since we've had limited mobility like this season, so the storm is actually a big factor again.

I have a lot more sniper and AR eliminations this season. Less mobility and more space are the reason, I guess.

Playing arena solo, top 3, I have a sniper and open field in front of me. Dude starts launching rockets at my metal build over and over. He had to have had two launchers both maxed out on ammo. Wasted all but my brick mats and allowed him to ramp rush me and kill me as I was just trying to build defensively to fend off the onslaught of rockets.

Ridiculous because we didn't even get to really fight. He had 16 eliminations, so it may not have mattered, but it is still frustrating.

So I played for the first time this season. Got a victory royal on my first solo log in and it wasn't even close. Had over 10 kills and hardly received any damage at all. I'm hardly a great player, so something is up.

I still play, but mostly just to get through the battle pass and to help my kids get through the battle pass.
They definitely nerfed the tac shotgun recently. That was my ticket to glory every game, but not anymore.

There were enough for 2 full squads at the beginning of the season, but now we're lucky to have a full squad. It's usually 3 of us. I'm really enjoying the season especially since bots are basically non-existent now. I only wish they would bring back storm wars and put out patch notes with updates so we know what's changed

Yes, it has definitely thinned out. It doesn't help when guys like Zip04 choose to defend our country instead of helping our fortnite squad. Talk about backwards priorities!?!

In truth, while the game is not as popular as it once was, it is amazing that the game is still around beating out new titles like COD. I would also second that this is the best season in a long time. The game feels really balanced and the sbmm and cross play has made things better. Although, I'm still a little salty about playing guys with a higher frame rate!!

PSA: I finally found some maps to help with the new season. The Itjerian shotgun course has really helped me start landing more shotgun shots. There is also a great edit/peek map that allows you to practice a lot of in game scenarios.





The final is a Teadoh training map. I still can't beat it in 10 minutes but I'm getting closer.

Thanks for sharing these maps! The 2nd one has been my warmup course lately. I'm close to breaking under 13 mins but that's the best I've done so far. I can't imagine shaving off 3 more minutes...
