The lead up to that shot made it all the more amazing.
For those who didn't see it (does not show in clip): Dakotaz and HD are breaking Ceezs' balls while they are spectating him. The tell him they will gift him 100 subs if he clutches the game when there are still over 10 left. Then they laugh and mock him for missing shots. HD says he is playing like a "p-ssy" for being too passive. Then they started calling out opponents and items that weren't around. They were so relentless that Ceez muted them. (Wish I could do that when Zip04 is being toxic spectating me!?!). Then the clip begins.

Minigun/boogie bombs are key to beating them in close quarters
FIDO and I just won a duo where we had to fight a mec near the end. Drum gun worked great against it, plus it is a better weapon to carry than the mini gun IMO.
Just make a Brute LTM like the sword and it's all good. I don't know how they can see all this and say it's not OP. It's even worse than the infinity blade since you have rockets and a shotgun on top of fast farming. Not to mention you can actually have weapons in your inventory while using it.
I agree with making it an LTM. They could also put a timer on it. After 4 minutes it self destructs (giving you a final 15 second count down if you are in it).
So Epic hasn't unlocked the secret battle stars yet for weeks 1 and 2.

Usually catch a little of Sypher or Nickmercs playing Fortnite at lunch. Both playing Apex Solos earlier. Might be more evidence the end is near. The mechs are just speeding up that process.

Today is Release day for the Solo's version of APEX so a lot of the big streamers are trying it out. I want your foreshadowing to be true but I think it is just a "Hey this is new" type deal and they will be back with Fortnite in no time. Wish they would jump ship and teach EPIC a lesson...
Hover boards, boogies, miniguns, and tilted town are ways to beat the mechs
My favorite game mode right now is Arena Trios. Less mechs and it feels good getting "hype" points for eliminations and for surviving into the late game. It would be better if people didn't use fake accounts, so then you could truly see where you stand competition wise, but that isn't a big deal.

It's not skill based matchmaking for some reason right now. I've seen streamers with 10,000-20,000 points have complete beginners in their games. I agree though. Arena solos and trios is where it's at
Today's update brought back retail row and added a laser guiding system to the Mech's missiles so everyone can see exactly where it is aiming.

Laser isn't gonna help anything when you're getting ****ing blasted by it all the same.
I hate the mechs, but by adding the laser, a squad can spread out and attack it from multiple angles. When the laser points in one team members direction, they know they need to evade/build while the others continue to pelt it. Not perfect, but better than leaving it as it was.
Solos is still an issue, though.
Mechs are still an issue. We had 3 squad games in a row where we died to a mech. We ended up switching over to creative. We killed each other for over an hour and I had the most fun I've had on Fortnite in the past week.
Was watching Dakotaz this with my coffee. He is generally one of the most chill and positive streamers I've seen. He got killed by a mech and had an epic rage on Epic. I'll post if I can find it. In the meantime:

Yeah storm wars have been a ton of fun to me as well when there's a few of us. I've really only done team rumble for challenges and then maybe arena solos.
Yeah, they need to be vaulted or put in an LTM.
We found a great map last night that works better then the Canyon one we were playing prior. You start with a simulated battle bus jump. You have to loot for mats and weapons but there are lots of chests. It also incorporates moving storms that varies each game. It plays out like a real game.
PSA: Zip04 likes to shoot people in the back so watch your 6 if you play with him. There is probably a Navy joke somewhere there, not that there is anything wrong with that.

I have been searching YouTube with something like "Fortnite season 10 zone wars". I found the new map here:
The first 7 minutes he discusses the jungle map we used a while back. The he starts talking about the Enigma mini map. I tried the Discord he mentioned but got in a lobby with PC players. I had 1 kill in 7-8 rounds. Last night we had 4-5 on the mini map game and had a lot of fun. If we can round up some more controller players, I think we can get some really good training and will be cracked by the time Mechs are vaulted.
I'll be on tonight again. If your not in our regular group and are on console/controller, send me a friend request and I can add you. Please mention here if you send one. I turn down requests from people I don't know as my mommy doesn't let me talk to strangers.

Yeah I feel like the last thing lacking is editing for me so I had to change the binds and it's been rough going so far. The storm wars help with that
This map was way more fun than mech death x 3. Still mad I didnt get the launcher kill on the last game!
I'd be interested in practicing some duos or trios in playground mode as well. There won't be a storm to run from, but you can actually select which team you are on and we can practice holding/winning locations, build battles, etc. on the real map.
We would just have to say that once eliminated you go to another location and switch from game chat to party chat until one team wins it. Then we can start the next round.
