How long do you want to ignore this user?
I have yet to score a solo win, just a 2 and a 3. Because I suck.
It's getting harder and harder with all these people that have 10+ kills being in the top 3 you have to beat. Best time of day to get a win is mid morning or so. Late at night is absolutely brutal
For those struggling with challenges, don't forget they added Party Assist to help you. You can only turn it on for one challenge at a time but anyone in your Epic party can help you complete challenges. I had a random friend add me for his chests in Junk Junction challenge and we cleared it in one drop.

Found my first buried treasure. There were some good weapons in there, but I don't know why I was expecting something a little more unique. Not sure if I'll pursue anymore.

At first I was like way to rain on my parade, but then I watched your video, and realized the timeframe was similar to mine.
Doing my first solo in 400 solo games and in my third season, I hope to have bridged the gap to ending up where you are. Congrats and keep them coming. Great video.
Where does everyone typically drop? I have gone through stages (Viking, Mansion, Fatal, Race Track) but probably drop Tilted the large majority of time.
Nice job on the video! Wish I had a similar compilation of my gameplay.

Mansion last season was my solo or duo go to. Had disproportionate loot and rare appearances by enemies early. Loot up, roll to Lonely or Gas Station and mix it up.

Got mine in Team Rumble. Turrets and Cannons count as vehicles too.
If I am slow playing the game then I'll go to either adobes or motel depending on which is further from the bus path. If I'm looking for a little more action then usually retail or if adobe is on the bus path.

I typically prefer "cold" drops over "hot" ones since I'm pretty average. I also prefer getting wins as opposed to getting lots of kills. Hence, I never drop Tilted as I would never make it out alive. If I want early action, I'll go Retail or Pleasant Park (whichever one is closer to the end of the bus route). I've been going Polar Peak or Lucky Landing recently as well. Usually only one other person will drop in those locations with me which keeps things manageable.CavitationAG said:

If I want a long, slow game, I always go Happy Hamlet. I can usually loot 8-10 chests there without ever having to fight anyone and can almost guarantee myself getting into the top 10. However, the first guy I often encounter is usually a sweat. It is not uncommon that I'll run around looting for 15 minutes only to die in my first engagement with zero kills. On the flip side, I've gotten quite a few wins from there; Especially when the final circles stay South as you can keep the ocean behind you and don't have to worry about your "six".

I've found that if I drop tilted, then I need to loot quick and get 1-2 kills for shield and get out of there. Only issue then is that people will be rotating in from everywhere so you get third partied 90% of the time once you leave tilted. I typically go west world/adobe or the house and rock chests to the east of paradise. I used to go to salty all the time, but the amount of loot to people landing there is terrible
My strategy, and I'm not claiming it is good, is to basically get kicked off the bus as the last person. By that point most everyone else is off the bus already, and I drop as far away from them as possible. That way I am not fighting them and trying to find loot at the same time.
Doing hot drops will help you get better though.
Sometimes I get a little too beaten down dropping Tilted and need the "cool" drops and actually enjoy them as well. Hot drops definitely helped me improve close range fighting though.
Another thing that really helped me has been playing Team Rumble to warm up. I started playing it to practice using the pump -> deagle combo vs pump -> smg and figured out pretty quick that it's really good practice for chaotic fighting without much downside to dying because you just re-spawn and get right back in the action.

I would just stick to pump/smg combo since the deagle is pretty worthless after they nerfed it. Going into creative and building helps me personally to warm up
Oh yeah definitely do now. This was before the nerf when it still knocked out walls with 1 shot. Even then I was never confident enough in my skills using that combo to roll with it %100 of the time.
We generally go "Puerto Rico" (the little adobe huts in the SE corner), Junk Junction, Race Track or something on the perimeter because our group is not good enough.

I got the vehicle damage and cannon challenge both done in one match of team rumble. People were basically just shooting each other with cannons to do the challenge. So I acted like a sweat and went around shotgunning guys using cannons then took an empty one and shot people until it was over. Get on team rumble quick before everyone finishes that challenge.

I noticed people were using cannons a lot last night.
Man if you take a week or so off from playing, it is absolutely brutal once you reach the top 10. Playing squads last night, I've never seen so many people storm fighting that we ran into

It's been absolutely brutal on us for squads the last couple nights
"Brutal" doesn't adequately describe our woes. Here are the numbers for me:
Season 7 squad: 62 wins, 13.7% win rate
Season 8 squad: 1 win, 2.9% win rate
I actually have more wins and a better win rate in solos. That has never happened!?!

Got my first squad victory today for the season.
I only have 1 squad win for season 8 and that's it. Granted, I've only played 13 solo matches and 23 squad matches. I'm not a bad player by any means, but I feel like I have zero chance at a win when I run into that solo who has 10-20 kills and can edit and shotgun me in the face with ease before I can even get a shot off.FIDO95 said:

Finally got the cannon challenge last night. I play a lot of Team Rumble because I am a lazy player. Finally got a match where the circle closed on on Lazy Lagoon. I got a cannon next to the dock and started shooting at the ship until I got my 100 damage points by hitting a few randos.
