I just got 5th in a solo v squad by slow playing it and just killing zombies. My final stats were 24,000 damage to "other players," 103 zombies killed, 1 opponent killed. The guy that killed me won the game and had 15 kills. The final 6 were 2v1v1v1v1 and I killed one of the two make all of the remaining teams solos.

The final circle was more less running from 15+ zombies as you try to kill other players. This is a fun game mode, but will get old fast.

Yeah this as an LTM would be fantastic. It's basically third party heaven with the shadow stones and the zombies distracting people

This weeks challenges are easy to do in Disco with the exception of the pistol challenge. I played for an hour and a half at lunch and evidentially there are not any standard pistols in that game mode.

The easiest way I found to check off the flaming hoop and speed limit challenges was to land at the RV park (typically 1 or 2 ATVs spawn there) and then go clockwise around the map staying on or near the road. I circled pretty much the entire map but knocked out both challenges in one game.

Diehard, it looks like this last patch made your life drain at 2x the rate when you are knocked. That explains why I died so fast in our duo the other day.

It really makes it where if you knock someone and then spray a few bullets into them while fighting their other teammate(s), they will bleed out before their teammate(s) can revive them.

It is going to make it much more difficult to play aggressively or semi-aggressively and still make it to the top 3 with your full squad. I think the unintended consequence is you will have more teams slow playing.

True but this is also countered with all the zombie add-ons.

You have the incentive to be aggressive and shoot zambos with the addition of more weekly challenges and the fact they drop good items and ammo.

So there's a greater advantage to playing conservative AND being aggressive. Pretty awesome actually.

Red Dead Redemption 2 has successfully squashed my initiative to complete challenges in Fortnite. I think my solo Fortnite days are going to be few and far between now. I will still play the game when our squad is on (or duo), but I'd rather be causing havoc on RDR2 otherwise.

I share in your sentiment. When faced with option of settling a score with an O'Driscoll vs getting schooled by an 8yo that can out build me... the choice is getting easier.

I still am enjoying solos and the challenge they bring. However, as I stated in an earlier post, I just don't have the time or gumption to keep working at getting better at the game. I've been able to keep my solo win rate between 5-8% for season 6. However, that is playing almost every day and there is no way to keep that muscle memory and/or improve if your not playing daily.

Yeah solos seem to be the only enjoyable mode when y'all aren't online. Random squads has gotten so bad lately with the quality of teammates and the fact that you're lucky if 3 people land in the same spot.

I too have been unimpressed with random squads lately and did a couple solo squads a couple days ago for a challenge. I wasn't really hiding, just went east of Paradise to kill zombies. Circle was that side of the map and hung out there most of the game. Had to move to the final circle between Paradise and Fatal. Got there just in time to see the last squad die fighting the zombies and in the storm and won. Solo Squad victory royale with zero kills. Impressive and not impressive at the same time.

Got current on all challenges today. Pickaxe damage was tough until I realized I could just wait by the pianos. I always let the guy finish playing the sheet music, but then we would get in a slap fight.

I managed to do this yesterday. But in my defense my controller died right as I was about to pick axe a zombie and I wasn't able to get my charging chord plugged in before it killed me. Felt pretty bad.

FIDO and I got 3 duo wins in 5 games, and then we played Squads with two other guys.

In our last squad match, we won the game without any of us ever shooting at an enemy or being shot at.

We were about to push the final fight and the other two teams ended up killing each other.

That's awesome winning percentage and crazy that no shots were fired in a squad win. Not sure if they buffed them or my aim has gotten better, but shotguns have been clutch lately

Can't remember if it was with FIDO or Zip to we had a duo win without ever firing a shot.

I do remember we swore that **** to secrecy never to speak of it again!

Sorry haven't been on much....or at all.

RDR2 has sucked me in!

I love the pump. I feel they have finally made it useful again. My go to setup is a sniper rifle or explosives in slot 1, assault rifle in slot 2, SMG in slot 3, heavy or pump shot gun in slot 4, and some sort of shield or heal in slot 5. Slot 1 then determines if I play more aggressive or not.

I've been partial to the Tac/heavy. My slots usually go AR, shotty, smg/grappler, sniper, heals. Placing emphasis on building/keeping high ground have helped me a lot more as well. I tend to get impatient and engage way too often

What's the NFL equivalent of the Aggies? Big hope to start the match, then the slow realization that you're destined to finish middle of the pack.
