Playground is pretty fun with the custom options now. I'll be goofing around in that with friends until COD comes out Friday.

It is so frustrating to do more than 550 damage and not get a single knock or elimination.
Is that the match total damage? And also frustrating getting 8 damage with the double barrel from almost point blank
I've had games where I do 569 damage all the way up to 1200 damage in one match and do not get a single elimination.
I'm guessing they'll have less than 15 health or something and someone third parties them or somehow they escape?
Yeah, typically third partied or I hit someone from about 150-200 meters and they get away.

The other way the rack up kills is to bird dog on your teammate. But I would never do that.

Good games last night. After last night, my season 6 squad stats are 26% for wins and 52% for top 3 finishes. It helps when you have a teammate clutch a 1v3 for the win....

Spent some time during lunch on twitch. I noticed Fortnite at 150k viewers while COD was at 300k. Wonder if this might be the game that knocks fortnite off its perch? I know COD just released but it will be interesting to see if the trend continues.

On a side note, why didn't Epic allow controller mapping in Save the World when they added it to BR? It is annoying switching back and forth between the two.

This won't be the same as WW2. I expect fortnite to regain the lead for the most part, but COD won't go away, and there will be times throughout the year when it has more viewers.
I hope it does stick around unlike WW2. I play so infrequently that I don't want to buy it yet just for it to fade out. Hopefully it's still going strong by the time black friday sales come around and I can scoop it up then.
I would like to see Epic add a feature to include computer bots in playground mode. Add selectable AI levels, so you can play easy, medium, or difficult bots. Select how many you want in the map at a time, auto-respawn on/off, etc. Take it a step further and allow you to select the size, location, and duration of the storm circle. This would allow you to practice fights in certain locations of the map against something that is actually shooting back at you, but while being able to farm insane amounts of mats to practice building during a fight, etc.
This would likely be difficult to do simply because of the building aspect of the game (having the AI know how to build, but at the same time acting similar to an actual person), but would definitely be beneficial when working on smaller aspects of the game.

I think that is what the playground was intending on providing. My son often gets on to playground with his friends and they practice killing each other. Now his K/D ratio is better then mine and I'm really impressed with some of the moves he is able to pull. However, the old man still has more solo wins in season 6 (5 to his zero) because he plays so aggressive. It is a stat I like to remind him about when he thinks I'm not very cool.

I agree that is their intent. The problem is, the few times we are able to have 3 or 4 guys on, I'd rather run squads than spend an hour in playground. It might not hurt to do playground for 15-30 minutes to get warm though.
Man, I made the mistake of playing Disco mode.... had a blast and stayed up way too late.

Thankfully no. The others were engaged with another squad near the houses to the NE of Risky Reels. Said player thought it would be a good idea to take the ATK to close the fight quicker....saltydog13 said:

LOving disco mode was more than 50v50! Especially for getting elimination challenges!
I need to hop on this weekend. Haven't played in almost 2 weeks with work and stuff going on. Anyone here play in the tournament being offered?
