Not sure. I think zip and SA played a few before me. I never really took this game seriously until a month ago. I do like it more now then when I picked it up in December.

I don't play solo much. I was using it to drop into busy areas and work on fighting, now I use 50v50 for that.

As far as building goes, I'd recommend loading playground mode and spend a couple of hours just practicing building. It helps a lot.

Getting into the top 10 is the easy part in solos. Just land someplace quiet, loot up weapons, and try to get at least 750 of materials. Then play it safe.

Getting from the top 10 to the top 4 is very difficult because all that are left are campers and killers. The killers that are left can all build. Even if you survive a fight, you are likely being watched and the "killers" are on their way to claim your spoils. In this stage, I will only pick a fight I can win quickly.

The trick is finding the right time to go from camper to killer. It is best when you have been able to locate the remaining players. I usually we will do this when there are 4 left and 2 begin to fight. Jump into this fight and if you win, you are stacked with loot. If the last guy is a camper, you should have an easy win.

Keep in mind, it is much easier to kill the pro player when he is engaging someone then waiting for the final 2 when all his attention is on you.

How do you get under the pyramid's? I see the pros drop one and get inside to heal up.

I can't get under them when they're on the ground.

Just crouch and stand in the middle of the square you're building it on. You want to build it over yourself.

Yeah I've been landing tomato, flush, and the adobe village by paradise to loot and farm materials well. Pretty much play defensive and then third party the fights/build offs once down to the top few players

Do not land in Adobe Village!! Please do not suggest it to anyone. It is full of invisible traps and the rifts near there throw you into the ocean. If you rotate the other direction to the skeet shoot and junk yard, the dinosaurs will eat you.

I'm anxious to see how the new pocket rifts are implemented:

1. Can you carry more than one?
2. Does it create a rift in that location that lasts for 10 seconds, allowing your entire squad to use the same one?

This will be a game changer for escaping the storm and for late game when trying to take high ground from someone.

We typically either jump to our death or try to push a fight real fast just to try and get a kill or two. FIDO is also known to just dance in the street until he is shot....

Seems like you have a better chance just playing solo squads than random squads. Most random squads I play either want to land in tilted or paradise and die right away

The majority end up that way but I've gotten a handful of wins before. Even back to back randoms once.

I noticed this while I was playing a bit at lunch. It is really awesome.

Also, after Clobby and I played a couple of duos, I was able to get back on for a few minutes and play the new solo LTM. It is interesting. It keeps you from having people build and wait out circles. I ended up getting a Victory. I had 2 eliminations and it was down to just me and one other player, I was winning by 185 points and lacked 100 points from getting to the 2,000 limit. Rather than close the position of the last player, I saw 2 silver coins next to each other and grabbed those for the win.

I think it is a good mode if you want to work on fighting, because it keeps everyone moving.

Also, it seems as though they have fixed the shotguns. I'm running with them again, but pair it with a drum or smg.

Someone had asked about the new personal rift orbs and if they actually create a rift for the team to follow.

I got one in a 50v today and they most definitely do. I built a tall ramp in Tilted Towers and used the orb at the top of the rift and covered a hell of a distance and when I looked down the rift was there.

looks like there's different items unlocked at 7, 8, and 9 weeks completed.

What's weird is that it shows 0/8 and 0/9 weeks completed for those new ones.

Last, for week 7 and week 8 they don't show 50 gold stars available. Instead there's 46 available for week 7 and 43 available for week 8
