If you have high ground and are shooting down, a shotgun is great (more likely for a headshot), but otherwise it is better to use a drum gun or SMG.

No kidding. Even pistols are better than shotguns, but the rate of fire of a drum gun or smg can't be beat.

The heavy shotguns are still legit. Won around 15 games yesterday and for most of those wins I always ended with at least a purple heavy in my inventory. I wish pistols would get changed up a bit and you actually were enticed to keep them past the initial landing. Revolvers and deagles specifically are pretty terrible unless you're just memeing around.

What's up with the rifts disappearing?

I used to be able to drop into Greasy or Paradise, loot, and rift out but now they are gone.

I agree to a disagree. I've definitely gotten my fair share of kills with the revolver and the DEagle. I like them from about the same distance as the AR. You can get a quick hit with them and immediately switch to the AR to finish it up. Works very well IF you have the room in your inventory.

My normal rift patterns are still there.
I work the ones by the adobe village SW of paradise to the oasis by the bridge west of paradise.
Or I really like going far NE by the ice cream truck to the one just north of tomato to the one by dusty. That can move you 2/3 of the map in about 1 minute.

This is absolutely hilarious. Around the 6:25 mark had me laughing so hard. You have to watch the beginning to truly appreciate it though. FIDO, this is something I feel Drizzy would do to us in a heartbeat...

What platform are you on?

I'd recommend watching the streamers as mentioned, also try to run squads or duos with experienced folks that have a little patience. Practice building in playground.

It seems as though more and more people are starting to use the default skin. I guess to trap people into thinking they aren't good so they play aggressive and make mistakes.

Yeah, I don't get it. Spend money on a free game to not use the skins? Why even do the battle pass? So you can get lame dances? Like I said... I don't get it...

It's pretty simple... bought the battle pass once a few seasons ago when I first started because I like to support good freemum games and I wanted the progression system. Turns out there are actually benefits to using the default skin. In a competitive game why not use every advantage you can?

I've banished myself to the Sparkle Specialist a few times.

I have to say though, sometimes it is hard to play with an OG skin like the black knight. I feel I have a responsibility to play better and try to maintain the respected reputation of the skin. Then I blow myself up with a sticky grenade!!? Back to Mrs Sparkle.

It was truly spectacular to watch. Looking back on it, it is similar to when your drunk friend asks you to hold their beer so they can do something miraculous, but then end up falling flat on their face. Good times...

Yea sure I'll still grind challenges. It's fun to still have progression of some sort even if it is just a worthless little XP bar and 95% of the rewards I'll never use. Occasionally I'll throw on a skin but if we are tryharding for wins I'm going noskin every time.
