This game is still so underrated. I left the COD grind for it and starting to get my buddies in. This is one of those games where I saw others playing and decided to play a game or two to give it a chance and I love it.

Not sure it's underrated...140k twitch viewers at 10am today. Almost everyone I know who has a PS4 plays it.

I guess just from a personal stand point. Me and my buddies have been a cod/battlefield only group since high school days and can't get them to switch lol
I'm a big PUBG fan but have played maybe 3 or 4 matches in Fortnite. I'd be more interested if I was playing duo or squad with a TexAgs group. I downloaded it for free on Xbox but I can also on PS4. Add me and let's play.

I used to play BF1 but got burned out chasing medals that were never available. Switched to Fortnite and really enjoying it.
Got an umbrella on squads. I got really lucky as I was the only guy on my squad of randos left. I watched the other squads wipe each other out and then I killed the last guy standing.
I have over 300 matches on solo. I can get top 25 most of the time and top 10 about 10% of the time. I have ZERO wins! If I play passive, I can get in the top 10 but then I don't have the weapons to slug it out at the end. If I play aggressive, I can usually get 1-2 kills before someone blasts me collecting loot after getting a kill!? I'm still enjoying the game however and I'm trying to progress on gold stars/tiers to get the black night.
I'm playing most nights (mostly on PS4, tag SA-ag-1836; xbox Fido95) if anyone needs a squad-mate.
Any additional advice would be appreciated.

Combine your passive and aggressive techniques. After getting a big loot kill I like to use it as bait as I bandage/shield up post fight. This works extremely well mid to late game.
Most importantly, defensive building maneuvers can help win a 1v1 much easier than good gun play.

my boys play most of the time. I play a litte bit. I think 10yr olds are the ones winning this mostly.

I have watched some PUBG matches on YouTube and thought the battle royale concept was awesome. I don't game as much as I used to. My roommate mentioned this was free so I downloaded it two days ago.
Love it. I'm able to finish top 10 quite a bit and have landed at number two. I think my movements, gun game is pretty good, but my late game building sucks.
I have played some random squad matches but it's mostly with 10 year olds or people who don't have microphones.

Over 45 million downloads according to my 14-year old, who we have to tell to shut up all the time because he's screaming all the time with his friends. They've spent all their Christmas money on V-bucks.

Played as long as I could tonight with my friends up until they shut down the servers on season 2. We ended the final possible game we could have played with a win.
Nice! I'm hoping season 3 brings alot of fixes back to the game. The new battle pass looks pretty awesome too.

I played a squad game last night, and when I got connected it was just me and one other guy. Awesome. So 2 v 4 I think. On the way down from the bus, the guy quits. Even better. 1 v 4 for the rest of the game. I took a passive approach starting at the shipping container yard, where luckily no one else landed. Found a nice sniper rifle and a good assault rifle and hoped that the bubble would come to me. I got unlucky, and the bubble was over twin towers. I ended up finishing the game with 4 kills, and came in 2nd place. I got the last guy down to 40 health and he shotgunned me in the face. I literally was one shot away from winning a solo squad match.
Felt pretty awesome, as I am not very good at the game in general and only have one other duo win to my name.
Planning on buying the battlepass today to give myself some fun goals for the season. I wish there was an option to gift a battlepass to get a couple of friends playing.

Agreed on gifting the battle pass, that's a great idea.
I love what they did with the battle pass in season 2 and I think the changes coming in season 3 will be even better. Plus it's space themed!!!

I started way too late to win the black knight. I know some people who just kept buying tiers until they got him
After just a couple of games into season 3 I can already tell there are so many improvements...Best being that it's 60 fps now!

I towards mid-season, i started buying only the tiers that rewarded you 100 v-bucks. 1 tier is 150, so i was getting 100 back more or less.
I got the Black Knight with a couple of days to spare. It was a grind working to get those gold stars every night, week after week. I played with it for a while but then went to my original Recon Scout skin. As the black knight, I would feel bad when I would lose my first 1v1 battle in the game due to the fact I felt as if I dishonored all the other knights!?! It is probably all in my head but I feel like I play better as the scout and blend in better to the surroundings with that skin.

New update is fantastic. Anyone figure out what the heck the treasure map at Dusty Depot means?
The item from the treasure map is always in the same location, and unlimited people can collect it each match. Grab the map from the middle dusty building and follow it.
Gotcha thanks. I did not realize you could pick it up.
I mean, you could just Google the map location and go directly to the end if you really want. You don't actually have to go to dusty, just find the end. I won't post it here in case anyone wants to find it for themselves.

those of you on PS4 can play with PC players if you create an epic account and link your PS4 to it. then you just add the PC players through the Epic app.
The new weekly challenges are pretty fun. I really enjoy them sending us to different areas where most people dont drop. It was a blast seeing 10+ people land in fatal fields and having everyone duke it out early there.
I completed everything this weekend except for the sniper rifle kills. I got one, but that 2nd sniper kill has eluded me so far. I dont know why, but every time I hit someone with the sniper they have full shield and I am not very good, so I usually dont get the 2nd shot for the kill.
I got lucky and won a game this weekend. It was a one kill game for me, but I got the kill that mattered! I wasnt even hiding, I literally saw no one all game long until it was down to 3 and the other 2 were fighting and I picked off the winner.
Seems like it wont be too difficult to get the battle pass to level 100 with the weekly challenges. Mine is already level 20 after just one week.
