So earlier today I received notification that my gmail password, recovery phone and recovery email address had all been changed. Luckily I received the alert and stopped it all within seconds and secured it all. Google shows the IP address it came from. It is in Oklahoma City. Is there a way to trace it to a physical location?

You'd have to contact the internet provider that owns the IP and get them to give you the customer's address, which I imagine they won't do without a warrant.

I have no idea who it could be. Unless it was something I sold while I lived there. But I havent lived in OKC in over a year. Strange. I would have completely wiped anything I sold, so I don't understand how they got into it

Unless you left your login on a post-it note, I would assume anyone smart enough to get access to your account would also be smart enough to use a proxy service so the ip you're seeing isn't the actual ip.

Even with a trace, you'd probably just end up at a Starbucks or some other public WiFi.

You may have already done it, but change any account out there that uses your email and the same password.

Do you have two factor authentication enabled on the Google account?

How were you notified of the change? The notification in and of itself could have been a phishing attempt.

I would also run Malwarebytes to make sure you don't have a keylogger on your current system.
