Rhyhorn. I like the shiny, Rhyperior is very useful, it isn't in the game yet, and it'll generate some candy to help me max my 100% Rhyperior.Farmer1906 said:

Despite Niantic saying lucky trade rates would be boosted during the Lunar event, it appears they are not. Hopefully they'll fix it.

I'm still not sure which one to vote for community day.
The only one out of the group who is worthless in game is vulpix. The other mons all have some uses.

I caught my first two shiny Magikarp (ever) in about 20 minutes at work this morning.
I swear they cluster. I got my first two back to back.

Will there be limits on which type of mons you can use? Will I face people with teams rocking mewtwo every match?

Not in the game. That's why there are so many third party methods of communicating among locals - mostly Discord, but there are Facebook, WhatsApp, all kinds of things set up. The Silph Road has a map of self-reported community groups.caleblyn said:

No, because that would be a smart implementation that doesn't create a game mechanic requiring players to seek out random strangers with no medium to do so, and niantic is incapable of that.
Hatched a decent gible today. My second. It's hilarious that gible is apparently rarer than shiny magikarp.
Still looking for my first Gible, but I also know I'm lucky for having hatched a Deino

So far this morning, I've hatched a Gible and caught a shiny Wurmple.

Battle League up for level 40's. I'm 3-2 so far.
So am I. It's been buggy for me after one of my guys dies; it seems to stall and all of a sudden there's a crap ton of damage to my new guy. Seems like it stalls when the other trainer puts a new one in, too.
Battle league blows. Buggy as an ant farm. Charge attacks don't kick off. Pokemon take forever to switch. Even the menus don't update correctly. JFC how hard is it to roll out something that works the first second time?
