I thought it was interesting. Everyone really struggled with the final boss and said the TRUE final boss was a walk in the park. I did the first final boss a couple of times and switched to the Axe cleaver and won on my first shot. The TRUE final boss took me quite a number of times before I got it figured out.

I won't be going there until I dispose of Ebrietas.

What level to I have to be to kill this thing? I'm at 79, and it's not even close.

I banged my head at Ebrietas about 10 times at around level 65. I don't think I ever got her down to below 50% health. Now I'm around 75, but I'm not sure when I'm going to try to take her on again. I'm not sure how much game I have left, but I feel like I've got to be near the end (inside Nightmare of Mensis) so I'll probably try again soon.

Is there a way to spawn closer to the Cleric Beast when you die? Having to start over every time in central Yharnam is a little frustrating. In fact, after repeating it like 8 times, I've almost gone numb. It's such a boring run to the Cleric Beast.

Have you unlocked the gateway into the household with the gunner in the wheelchair that takes you immediately to the wolves on the bridge? That is a 60 second run at most to the boss

Yeah when you beat the wolves, take a stairway down to the right and defeat the enemies inside. Go downstairs, do the same and head outside until you hit a gate that takes you to the first lantern

Does anyone know where to get the blood gem for that one trophy? I assume it's in the chalice dungeons. Just wanted to know if there's a specific one I need to go for.

I'm assuming you mean the "Blood Gem Master" trophy? I got that on a random blood gem drop in a depth 4 (I think) dungeon. It had a rating of 16.

Also, I was around level 130 when I took down the final chalice dungeon. And the first boss in that dungeon still ripped me apart. Just an FYI.

Just picked it up on Friday with my new ps4 (been out of town and couldn't find time to start)

Had I not PVPd in DS2 so much, I think I'd be having more trouble adjusting.

But because I used a whip offhand as a distance control, that same behavior and muscle memory seems to have transferred to the guns really well.

Only 2 bosses down so far, but they've both taken just 2 tries.

It's definitely got its claws in me already though.

Beat micolash and the wet nurse last night. I also somehow ended up getting all 4 of the umbilical cord thirds without following a guide. Came back to the Hunter's Dream and things have changed. Think it's about time to take down Ebrietas and then I'll head through the newly-opened gate.

Also, I think the last firmware added screenshots for trophy unlocks. The one I have for Amygdala is awesome. I was wearing light-colored armor (either tomb prospector or white church) and when I killed it I was basically standing right in its center. The exploding blood so close to the camera caused enough slowdown that the trophy picture captured the tidal wave of blood with my hunter dressed in white right at the center.

The rest of my trophy photos are ridiculously boring. A couple even have the menu open since I got the trophy while I was looking at a boss drop.

Makes me hope future game devs will try to time trophy unlocks with something badass happening in the game.

I've tried a couple of test-the-water runs (basically see how far I can get without using blood vials or other consumables), and the most I've been able to do is knock off a quarter of her health. But that was 10 levels ago (75 now) with only a +8 axe (+10 and much better gems now) and around 800 HP (around 1000 now.)

I'll give it a couple of tries tonight.

Apparently you can propose in Bloodborne (video has some late game character and item spoilers). And then get friend zoned because nothing is happy in Yharnam.

Oh, this is bad. Jumped into ng+, and I'm just as addicted as I was the first time. This game has some amazing momentum that keeps pushing you forward. So long, life. Gotta keep the Dream alive.

As the saying goes, you'll buy other games; Souls just won't let you play other games.

lulz I had to force myself to put it down and either go outside or play another game. I went with the latter because I'm anti social, and Bastion is doing just the trick. <3 Supergiant Games

but oh I want to start over with a skill build so bad....

Got her on my 7th or 8th try. The difference was in trying to stay almost touching her and always trying to swing around her side/back since it prevents her charge attack that I can only dodge like 1/20 times. And the lasers are easy to dodge if you disengage lock-on and start running sideways.

Got to the last boss and decided to see if I missed anything major before beating the game. Turns out I've been to all the major areas except Cainherst, so I'll be tackling that soon and then hopefully on to the end.

The amount of optional areas in this game is huge. Feels like half the game is optional.

This hunter at the end of the Eileen the crow questline is rather difficult

I had a much easier time with that guy fighting on the stairs. Also, as with almost all enemy hunters, parrying and getting visceral attacks is the way to go. (My axe was too slow to reliably dodge and hit.)

He's so freaking fast though and can one shot me with his pistol

He uses the hunter's bone to move faster. I tried to stay out of melee range to give myself time to react when he shot. Plus, if you hang back it might help you determine what kind of attack he's going to do. If he runs at you he'll close the distance and do a sword slash. If you learn the timing/distance it might help with parrying. If he walks slowly at you, you might be able to catch him with a charge attack (he walked into my charged Hunter's axe twice).

Also, armor with blood resistance might help soak up the bullet damage.

Anyway, good luck. He's the toughest hunter I've fought in the game.

Also, keep in mind he often uses his pistol after he dashes to one side or another.

I am such a scrub lord who is not grossly incandescent.

Did the Wet Nurse cast darkness, clone herself, then come jumping out of the darkness? Apparently, it doesn't always do this and bugs out on alot of people. Not the hardest boss ever, but can be tricky.

Im up to ebrietas so finally caught up to you guys (hence my absensce from the thread...didn't want to spoil anything).

Need to work through the chalice dungeons.
