Update for those who are frustrated with multiplayer or the game in general. As jr15aggie mentioned, multiplayer has been functioning much better as of late. While it is not perfect with queue times between 1-5 minutes, it appears that the server side fixes implemented are allowing people to find games on a more consistent basis. Even so, there are still a large number of issues with the multiplayer that need to be addressed. These are:
1) Splitting up parties in-game.
2) Uneven teams during matches
3) Breaking up parties when backing out of queue
4) Kicking you out of party if your controller turns off in queue
5) Party connection issues that force a game restart
Additionally, I have also noticed a number of game specific issues, namely with Halo CE, that hopefully will be fixed in short order. If you play Halo CE, you will notice that the host generally always has the best KDA and wins the game a majority of the time. This is because off host hit registration is absolutely horrible on Grenades, Rockets, Melees, and Bullets.
As host, I have been hit by a rocket, blown into the air, and taken zero damage. Off host, I have recorded shooting a guy 10 confirmed(11 possibly) times with a pistol and he not be dead (the Halo CE Pistol is a 3-5 shot kill). In these instances, your bullets will spark off the enemy's armor and will register a hit on your screen, but the shields of the host player will not flash at all.
This issue alone makes Halo CE unplayable at a competitive level where the host will not lose.
With that said, some good news it on the way. Per the following link, a significant patch should be implemented on Wednesday of this week. This patch will hopefully fix a number of the multiplayer bugs that currently exist and allow for smoother game play.
