NPH- Did you find a solution for the one not being recognized by tv hdmi? I'm running into the same issue. Philips TV shows no hdmi signal but works fine with a Vizio TV. Thanks

Anybody try out the NFL app yesterday? I used it a little bit... not much different than browsing ESPN or something on your phone during the game. Nothing Earth shattering.

I am however LOVING the TV integration when it comes to sports. Watching the Cowboy game yesterday (unfortunately that's my team!) I would simply pause the game when it went to commercial, instantly switched over to Killer Instinct for a couple rounds... back to the Cowboys game... and when the next commercial hit I could instantly get back into my KI game which was exactly where I left it before.

I've also discovered that you can switch from Netflix over to live TV (to check the Sunday Night Football Score when your wife leaves the room) and when you switch back Netflix picks up where you left off... you don't have to reload the Netflix app and search for your movie... it's instant and it's awesome! I will need to test out switching between Netflix and games and see if it works the same.

That's the part I'm most looking forward to^ can't wait to watch football while playing a game. Or half the wife watch whatever she wants while I play a game

"Xbox on" is not working for me as well. I have turned on the option to enable "Xbox on" as well.

but its okay... I can push the button on my controller and save my vocal cords.

Netflix commands though are very annoying, don't always work and aren't intuitive

For those that have played killer instinct.. Does it take a few seconds for each character to load in the character select screen? It does for me and I'm sensing it's an issue that shouldn't be there. I'd love to reinstall the game and see if that fixes, but I don't know how to force an uninstsll.

Edit: you have to go to the games and apps section, highlight the game and hit menu to find the Uninstall option. Will see if that fixes my game.

Not going to lie, the new kinect sports looks like it might be pretty impressive with the new technology. I enjoyed the first one, not so much the second. Tennis was not nearly as good as ping pong.

The wave runner demo is pretty cool that it can tell the difference between an open and closed hand for the throttle. It felt very smooth to control for a motion controlled game.

I would watch the kinect magic video they have, pretty cool stuff.

A few things I learned playing yesterday:

1. The party chat issues seem to be specific to BF4. The internet thinks the best way to get chat working is to join a party and enable chat before launching the game. This worked for me.

2. If you don't want to use voice controls to swap between snapped and main windows, you can double tap the xbox button to swap between them. While the snapped window is active, hitting B will close it. "Xbox unsnap" still works really well too, but the voice command to swap to the main window is cumbersome sometimes - "Xbox switch to Forza Motorsport 5".

I haven't had a problem with it. I've always just said "Xbox switch" and it works fine. I have find it easier to use the voice commands if you first just say "Xbox" then wait a second for it to recognize voice command and then say what you want to do. For starting games with long titles, this works even better.

To the guys talking about football and tv, I watched Redzone while messing around in BF4 on Sunday. It made load screens and spawn times more entertaining.

I'm still on ps4/xb fence. I want xb to be better because I feel like the motion games have a lot of potential for kids. It's hard to find any info on the ps4 motion games because there really isn't anything out there

Question - if you don't have cable does the value of xb1 really go down? I know I am in minority , but I don't even have cable and just use rabbit ears. I have seen the question asked on forums, but no real answer from MS on how it is supposed to work.

*looks like major problem in UK because their tv frequency isn't the same as ours and it doesn't work well with xb1!

What motion games does Xbox have in the pipeline?

I don't have cable.

I use it for games, ESPN when my BIL with cable is over and Netflix.

We don't have cable either, and are still waiting to see if MS allows input from a PC with a TV tuner to the XB1.

It'd be nice, but it's only one input away on my receiver.

Other than kinect sports, which looks really good with the new kinect, I haven't looked into what else they have in the pipeline. I think that the new kinect should have a lot of potential, just depends on if anyone puts some time into it.

What is Rare doing? For some reason I thought they had a Kinect title in the works. Or is that the Kinect Sports?

EDIT: Appears they did Kinect Sports. Here's to hoping they get a chance at a larger title soon.

Just picked up an Xbox One at the Woodlands mall Microsoft kiosk. Kept seeing people walk by with one so I decided to stop by and see if they had one. Sure enough, they had 3 or 4 left. The stipulation was you had to buy the add on for $199 which was a year of Xbox live, the 2 year warranty, and 2 Xbox games. $250 value so I saved $50. Picked COD and BF4. I am a happy man!

Well I figured I would be getting a game or two with it anyways. Plus the warranty. The year of XBL is really the only thing I didn't need but I guess I will eventually just not anytime soon.

Awesome. Good to hear that there are several people that have been able to pickup the XB1 just by walking into stores. Much better inventory than the previous gen launch.

I haven't heard about Microsoft's supply chain, but Sony deliberately held back stock for launch so there would be more in the coming weeks. They said they easily could have gave everything away on preorders.
