My wife isn't into anime or reading sci-if, but we did beat Left 4 Dead last week and she insisted that we immediately go out and buy the sequel... Which we have now beaten as well. Just started Borderlands, so that should take longer.

I married mine, too.

My wife doesn't consider herself a gamer or into anime or sci fi. A lot of women don't identify that way and won't when you first meet them, even if they actually do like those things. For instance:

My wife had read all the Ender's Game books when we met. That was our first connection.

She owned a PS1 and occasionally used it to play DDR and a few other games she owned.

After we got together, she started doing more nerdy stuff with me. We watched all of Cowboy Bebop and Samurai Champloo together. She just finished reading The Hunger Games (dystopian sci fi is popular now!?!?). Today she said she can't wait for the next Patrick Rothfuss book.

And she was the top DPSer in our guild when we killed Gruul for the first time (and on countless other occasions).

She still says "I'm not a gamer, though."

Oh, it also pleased me when my wife said she wants a movie room in our new house.

But I agree with a previous poser on this one fact...any girl who is interesting or fun to be around is nerdy about something. If you are living your life without being a little nerdy about something, then you aren't truly living.

my wife is super anti-nerd. but she's pretty attractive so i'll keep her.

the other day i came home and she told me the chromebook died and she couldn't get the power in so she had been internetting from her phone all day. I went and looked and she was trying to stick the macbook pro power into the USB port.

i like video games, but don't own any consoles. i once asked her if she'd rather me play video games or continue to hunt, fish, and watch college football and she said she picked football and the outdoors because they were confined to the weekends and the fall for the most part.

Well give up games and buy some stars and lets talk Aggie Football.
