Pro Ag - the bolding issue is an unfortunate consequence of still being reliant upon the main texags site, which is allowing the malformed code. i'll try to think of some workarounds, but most of what i've come up with would have performance drawbacks. perhaps I'll speak with WatchOle about getting the bug fixed on the main site.

spadilly - thanks for the heads-up on the spirit tags. I'll get that worked out.

Pro Ag, pfidr34 - I agree, now that I have a better feel for the speed of the mobile site. I see no reason the post per page can't be the same as the main site.

Forum code assistance may be a little tricky. Not because it would be that difficult to implement, but rather because:

(1) The mobile site still has to use ubb code because it coexists with the main site

(2) Due to the requirement of the mobile site working on the as many mobile platforms as possible, heavy javascript to enable advanced features would be tough (it's hard enough to getting these lousy browsers to simply format the content correctly)

That being said, I do have a couple of features in mind that should save a good bit of "key strokes". I won't spoil the surprise. You will see them next week.

the watchlist functions are live. currently you can view your watchlist and add topics to it. i've left saving and removing items to the main site for now. viewing the watchlist is also in need of some paging functions. i'll get those on there at some point.

the watchlist links work similar to the topics page. clicking on the title takes you to the first page, clicking on the "info bar" takes you to the first new reply (or the last reply if no new).

i've also added the "L" and "G" to recuiting topics.

A&M Iceman, i'm pretty committed to the navigation functions being at the bottom. I was unsure about this at first, but over the past weeks have come to like this decision. the intent is to have ALL the nav function together, just a click away through the "drop to bottom" link (no page load required). the top of the page could get cluttered pretty quickly if I start moving things up there. I'd like to here some more feedback on this, specially from those who have been using the site for a few weeks.

(A&M Iceman, please don't take my response as a "I'm not taking suggestions". Nothing is set in stone.)

DEV TIMELINE UPDATE:

It looks like I'm going to get pulled to another project pretty soon, so here's my plan: I'm shooting to get the mobile posting up by Friday and I'll use next week to workout the growing number of browser compatibility bugs. After that, we'll take the mobile out of BETA and announce it loud and proud to the rest of TexAgs. Minus any bugs that pop up, I'll probably put a hold on further feature development until I get a couple of these other projects out of the way.
