Similar as Carroll, they weren't going to restart with a rookie QB and keep a 72+ year old HC.

Tom Brady went 8-9 his last year, maybe we should tap the breaks on putting him in the HOF too.Iraq2xVeteran said:
Bill Belichick lasted 4 seasons after Tom Brady left the New England Patriots for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and he went 29-38 with one playoff appearance: 47-17 blowout loss to the Buffalo Bills in a 2021 Wildcard Playoff Game.

Is Vrabel an elite coach? His offenses are kinda terrible and his defense is usually nothing spectacular-
He rode a generational running back to the ground and his career record is
54-45 2-3 in the playoffs

Vrabel is not that good of a HC. His teams have always been kinda meh. They'll win too many games to get a high draft position but not enough to be contenders.
Honestly by his body language on the sidelines he looks like he's ready to call it quits all together. He always seems disengaged and disinterested. Almost like it's a pain in his ass he has to be out there every Sunday.
It’s a new era in New England: the Patriots have hired Jerod Mayo as their next head coach and he will be formally introduced at a press conference next week, a source tells ESPN. pic.twitter.com/SeHKoAonrP

Did they interview any white coche. Seems to violate the Rooney rule
They could have just given a token interview to another Patriots assistant, Bill O'Brien, who has experience as an HC at the NFL level. Wouldn't have had to spend money to fly him in.MookieBlaylock said:

Quinn's stock didn't exactly rise today.
With Belichick & Saban available, will Jerry Jones contact one or both of them?
Look at Jerry's track history: He fired a legend (Tom Landry) and a coach coming off of his 2nd straight Super Bowl win (Jimmy Johnson). Yesterday's performance was such a disaster that one would expect a "knee jerk reaction" from him.Chrundle the Great said:
Why do cowboy fans assume Jerry will fire McCarthy? Did we already forget how long he kept Jason Garret around?
