Down goes Philly!
Eagles game was close on the road. Stop chicken littlingTksymm7 said:
I have zero faith we could beat the Niners, Eagles or Buffalo in the playoffs, and tbh I would be very nervous playing the Lions as well. We'd be playing them all away from home, and all of them have good or better offensive lines and can shove the ball down your throat if they want. The offense would have to be unconscious, and I don't have faith in that either, as evidence last night.

Our tackling in the run game is terrible. We have way too many guys diving at legs and trying to arm tackle.

It was always gonna come down to Philly losing one to the Giants. The importance of this game is that we can still lose one more and, as long as it isn't to Washington, win the division if they lose to NY.
If Philly wins out nothing we do matters, we're locked into the 5th seed

If both teams win out which tiebreaker goes the Eagles way?

The Eagles loss suddenly makes the Dolphins game next week more important. If the eagles won, the #1 seed would probably be wrapped up and we could rest people for the playoffs, but I guess we gotta try to beat Miami now.

The Miami game is a moveable force meeting a stoppable object. Dallas is going to have a hard time stopping the run, but Miami hasn't beat a team with a winning record in a year and a half. I think Dallas's DBs are going to be able to contain the pass attack, so if they can contain Achane and Mostert I think Dallas will have the advantage. Not being at home doesn't helpPatAg said:
I see the Miami game as being important as another good measuring stick for where the team is at heading to the playoffs. Needs to be all about being in our peak form going into post season

Did you bring in Matt Patricia to let Drew Lock go the length of the field to win?pic.twitter.com/gR6hQHJ4DK

The way this team plays at home vs the road makes the 2 seed an absolute must to have any prayer.
Drafted at Age 22 in 2020 and had a 1-sack rookie year. It takes time. (Also, someday they will put an edit function on this dumb app). https://t.co/SuGgX2oIKu

I think the timeline for rookies in general is crazy here because Dallas has hit big with Micah, CeeDee, and Tyler Smith. Those rookie seasons are very rare and because the Cowboys did it 3 times in a row, the standard is now absurd for subsequent rookies. https://t.co/mf9XJbkTnE

Some of us have been saying that all year. I realize it's a different position but look at Tolbert, he was awful his first season and has improved so much. It takes time for most players.

Tolbert wasn't a first round pick, there is a huge difference between the guy you take in the 1st vs the 3rd. With a 1st unless the position is QB you expect immediate production from your 1st rd pick every year. Not saying he is a bust at all but if we draft a guy in the 1st too often that take three years to provide meaningful snaps then the talent level is going to drop quickly.

He was drafted to be a pillar. He was drafted because he ALREADY was strong.
Now he needs time to develop strength? I don't buy it.
Go look at the last 5-10 drafts and find a DT that was drafted in the 1st round that became someone if he wasn't already good his rookie year. You'll have an even harder time finding a NT like he was projected to be.
