Why are they playing 10 yards off the receivers?

Of course it's called incomplete on the field.

The luck simply will not run out for these guys.

They could have lost the game 6 different ways

Would have been a different call in Buffalo

None of this matters. Either Dallas is mentally tough enough, or they aren't.
94chem,
That, sir, was the greatest post in the history of TexAgs. I salute you. -- Dough

Yep. That Arizona loss sucks so much. Cowboys couldn't go 6 yards for the win in Philadelphia, and couldn't get any help the past 2 weeks from teams that had opportunities to put them dead to rights. Even with a niners win next week and cowboys win on 12/10, it would be pretty hard to win the division.

Correct. We are gonna lose any tie breakers with Philly and SF because all of our losses are NFC losses.

Baring both teams having catastrophic injuries, we are playing too be the #1 WC seed which, right now, would be an OK path to the NFC Championship game.

Eagles just beat the Chiefs and Bills. You can call them lucky but they are very good. They beat us.

Let's see how they stack up against SF next week.

I just hope the game is as physical and as nasty as possible. Please beat each other up very very badly.

We know they are good... but I've watched them play 5 games this year and they should have lost 4 of them! Ref calls in their favor, bad bounces, or the other team flat out being dumb.

I agree, they ARE good, but at some point the luck HAS TO run out right? RIGHT?? There's no way they can sustain that level of good luck, if I had to guess they get bounced first round, most likey divisional, of the playoffs.

I'll add to the luck argument... it's a combination of that and the fact that they have a play that pretty much cannot be stopped on 4th and 1. So much of their offense is built around "just get it to 4th and close and we'll go for it".

For the life of me, I cannot figure out why they are the only team that can do it and nobody can stop it. But a decent % of their points this year have come off of drives that most teams would have punted.

It's the most frustrating thing I've seen in a long time

A play that was illegal up until 2005. It was illegal for a reason. Not sure why they took the rule out. I guess they just wanted more offense.

I don't mind the sneak in general. What I hate is the "push" that is allowed nowadays. Get rid of the offenses ability to have three dudes simply push the QB forward. If you got rid of that I think it would be a much more fair play, so to speak.

From what I've seen Kelce basically snaps and does a bear crawl forward on all fours while Hurts follows on top of him or behind him while Swift and the other RB push Hurts forward. The key here would be to take out Kelce and it would fail, most likely.

The only way to do that though is to risk injury to Kelce and as much as I hate the Eagles he is one of the best centers ever to play the game. I also don't wish injury on anyone.

The key to the play is actually the LT and LG, they create a spearhead with the LG as the top of the spear to cave in one side of the defensive front. Kelce actually ends up angled towards the left A gap/left guard most of the time and they push Hurts on top of him through the portion of the front collapsed by the left side of the OL.

The way you stop it, and the way a couple teams have on occasion, is putting one individual DL in every gap so that multiple players aren't getting washed out by any one OL. The key isn't "getting low", it's getting the offensive linemen going low from caving in your front by having two players take out 3 or 4 defenders. You then need someone to go over the top and hit the QB before the push has time to be effective. The 49ers did this once with Warner (and did it again against other teams trying to mimick the play).

The problem is that the Eagles have the best OL in football and so even if you do everything right they can still succeed just because they are so strong and so technically sound.

Just because one team does it well doesn't mean you have to ban it. Put on your big boy pants and figure out how to stop it.

Opponents just need to accept that the Eagles are going to gain that yard or two and just have their guys put a good pop on Hurts every time they run the tush push.. Not saying to injure him but there's going to be a price to pay for trying it.

It's not just because they do the tush push so well. It's just frustrating to watch a team play great defense and stop a play, only to have the entire offense get behind the runner and push them in the end zone. I just feel like they had it right the first time when it was banned. Maybe that's just old man yelling at clouds.

If you watch the tush push, it has very little to do with the RBs pushing. The majority of the time they got their 1 yard and the push may give them alittle more.

Watch the play, most of the time it's well over by the time they get the push. It's all the OL plus the strongest qb in the league.

Every team tries it. Even Josh Allen tried it and was stuffed and barely made a 1st down and he is one of the biggest Qb. It's all the OL and hurts which is why most can't copy it

Brady was the master of the QB sneak b/c they had a great Oline, he just had to find the hole.

Banning this play would change little as the eagles would do the same without the push and just teams crying that they can't do it.

Marcus Peters waived. Would love him here, move Bland back to nickel and get Lewis off the field.

Bland stays on the field on all plays obviously.

Sooooo........ your idea is to move the guy that is leading the NFL in picks and also just broke the all time NFL record for pick 6's in a season and only needed 11 games to do it.

Yeah... I think I said it here in the preseason that Bland was a stud before he had this breakout year. In the nickel, he was making plays in the preseason, early season before Diggs went down.

Sooooo yeah, I think he's versatile and has and will continue to shine anywhere. On nickel situations, you bring in Peters and you slide Bland inside. Is that bad? I think Chris Harris and many others made a career of it.

PFF updated grades.

I did this early season. don't know that anyways cared but I do, and I been wanting to see where everyone ranks out in the latter half of the season. I paid for a year of PFF last year when I heard someone here say you could do mock drafts and I was obviously bored and fiending... So I might as well use it.

I was going to do complete breakdown of each grade, but there's no good way to format here on texags without it becoming a mess, so I'll just do overall grade unless something pops out, and will just update from here So here we go:

QB
1. Dak
2. Allen
3. Mahomes
4. Tua
5. Stroud

WR
1. Hill
2. Auyik
3. AJ Brown
4. Lamb
5. Jefferson
55. Cooks
75. Gallup
