Delvin cook signed with the ravens
No matter what!
Epstein didn't do, you know, the thing...
I'm the rare Astros/Cowboys/Spurs fan. We do exist

Dallas should've been in on Cook.

I'm with you, his YPC has been terrible this season but admit I don't know anything about the severity of Dowdle's injury and Deuce is now on IR.

Breece Hall has no problem averaging 4.4 yards per carry with the Jets.

Cooks averages 3.2 and 2 fumbles in less than 70 carries. The guy is washed!

Pollard is washed as well.

He's getting there. Like most, he's not the same after a significant injury. I don't see anybody arguing that.

I'm just curious why some of yall think Cook will help us when he's farther along the washed out trail. He's Pollard 2 years from now. Why should we be interested?

Makes you wonder why we didn't spend more draft capital on a good rb. Deuce is ok, but cmon.

Achane instead of Mazi seems like the right move in hindsight

I actually like dowdle. I think he's a good RB.

Love Achane but not sure spending a first round pick on an injury prone back is a smart move. Especially when he was drafted in the third.

I wonder if the Cowboys draft Bijan or Gibbs if either were there like so many mock drafts thought? I'm pretty sure they would have.

But you can't controll the teams ahead of you. In hindsight they definitely should have gone with LaPorta or Achane. Not sure if Achane was high on their board, but LaPorta most definitely was.

Laporta seemed like such an underwhelming get. The lions really screwed us hard by taking Gibbs. He was supposed to fall to the 2nd round if not for them.

Yeah, they definitely broke my heart when they took him so early. It wasn't a HUGE need, but he would have helped us so much more than what Mazi has this year.

I don't see the Cowboys using a 1st or 2nd round pick on a RB anytime soon.

I am sure, a postseason evaluation of their offense, specifically the run game will be made, and they will find much of their issue had to do with scheme. I don't think that Tony Pollard has lost a step or is so washed up that he can't produce. Something else looks off, but he will not be worthy of a huge contract. They will have to let him walk and are going to have to replace him somehow.

I think it will be fairly easy to replace Pollard. We can sign a free agent and draft a rookie in the middle rounds and I think we'll fine. These days middle to late or undrafted rookie RBs are where it's at.
Macarthur

I have no issue with Dowdle, Deuce and a late round RB pick going into next season.
jr15aggie

I agree, but it's only "easy" to replace this years version of Pollard. The '21 & '22 version of Pollard was pretty awesome and we'd be lucky to find a guy like that.

I too have no issue with using a mid-round pick to get the job done, but I'm also not scared of using a day 1 or day 2 pick either. If the premium players/positions are picked over when it's our turn, go ahead and get a bad ass RB if he's there.

One name to look at in later rounds is Johnathan Brooks of Texas. He should be good to go by training camp and he's the kind of back we need.
The Marksman

I expect him to go higher than we will probably be willing to pick him. He may be RB1 in this class. Much can change in the next few months before the draft though.

I'm just kinda hoping his injury ( ACL) keeps teams away. He doesn't have breakaway speed but he gets tough yards.
The Marksman

Yeah I definitely agree he's a good player, and I'd love it if he fell to the Cowboys

Blake Corum from Michigan is a guy that will probably fall to 3-4th round that I think would be a good get

Maybe a 3rd rounder?

He grades out well even in passing situations. Good hands.

Just saw too that he's only going to be 20 when he ensures the NFL.

So assuming the Cowboys win Sunday, and looking at anticipated outcomes of the other games, who is the likely first round opponent?

Packers or Rams, outside shot of the Seahawks.
