the Bills really wanted to get rid of him
That says Minnesota did. Didn't show us giving up anything (doesn't mean we didn't).Ags #1 said:

We gave the Bills the extra 2nd round pick next year we got when we traded down out of the first round this year.AgLA06 said:That says Minnesota did. Didn't show us giving up anything (doesn't mean we didn't).Ags #1 said:

They really don't have "room for more" without redoing Diggs' contract.Cartographer said:
Here to eat my crow. I didn't expect a big move. This is huge and they still have room for more.

Texans are going to have to do something with Diggs contract. Won't have enough money for his current contract and to sign all of the rookies. Wonder how long they extend him.

It's got to already been done. There's no sense in bringing him in and giving him the leverage to hold you hostage otherwise.
If our Oline improves, it should be a super bowl caliber offense.BayAg_14 said:

His current deal is for 3 more years. I'm sure it will be some creative contract, will be a top 5 paid WR now, when last year he looked like he was on the decline with a lot of key drops.Mr.Bond said:redag06 said:

He's 30. Surely not more than 3 or 4 years

Diggs current cap number is 27m, and the Texans have 29m in cap space, need about 10 to sign all the rookies.
Quote:
For Houston this gives them another potential dynamic fit in their offense if they can manage the egos. Diggs will cost $19.005 million this year and has a non-guaranteed salary of $18.505 million in 2025. $3.5 million of that salary is injury protected. There are also non-guaranteed years in 2026 and 2027 worth $19.6 million and $18 million respectively.
The #Bills will carry about $31.1 million in dead money for Diggs. Pretty much a disaster extension for them. Wound up paying an extra $20.9M in 2022 and 2023 to come away with a net of less than a 2nd rounder next year.

He was probably frustrated with Allen being so off platform more and more in the passing game. Allen was starting to constantly ad-lib before a play started to break down even when WRs would be open. I'm sure going to play with a QB that has the ability to play very much on script and only ad-libs when needed is going to make him very happy.redag06 said:
Will be interesting to see if Diggs was really falling off or if he was just being used differently.

He had 80 targets in those last 10 games as well.
No, this is Iron Man (Nick Caserio) stealing the Infinity Stones (GM role) to reverse the trade from Thanos (BoB) who had more power than a HC should have. The Porkchop Express said:

What I was going to reply on this one is that the Bills switched from Ken Dorsey to Joe Brady around week 10 or 11. Brady then designed the offense around Allen just creating plays instead of running more of actual go through your progressions style offense. Diggs seems to be really good at running routes and not running constant scramble drills so he suffered compared to other targets.redag06 said:

We still have both our 2nd rounds picks this year, we traded a 2 next year.MAROON said:
