The Texans received Stefon Diggs and a 5th / 6th rounder
Traded away a 2025 second-rounder.
Assuming we can handle him and he isn't toxic in the locker room. That's a no brainer!
We essentially are spending our 2024 first on Stephon Diggs and picking up a 2nd.

Basically we traded down from 23 to 42 and received Diggs and an extra 5th rounder next year and a 6th rounder this year if you look at the two trades combined.
Texans are going to have to do something with Diggs contract. Won't have enough money for his current contract and to sign all of the rookies. Wonder how long they extend him.

Hard to not be excited about this move, especially at the cost. PLEASE don't be the malcontent diva you've been in the past, Diggs. Stated it before… do not want Stroud feeling like he has to feed this dude the ball. There's only one ball and now there's a lot of weapons. Be here to win games.
He was probably frustrated with Allen being so off platform more and more in the passing game. Allen was starting to constantly ad-lib before a play started to break down even when WRs would be open. I'm sure going to play with a QB that has the ability to play very much on script and only ad-libs when needed is going to make him very happy.redag06 said:

Whoops, my reply was meant to be on the diva aspects of him, but yeah I think a lot of him getting frustrated revolved around how Allen plays and the way Brady started calling the offense around that.

What I was going to reply on this one is that the Bills switched from Ken Dorsey to Joe Brady around week 10 or 11. Brady then designed the offense around Allen just creating plays instead of running more of actual go through your progressions style offense. Diggs seems to be really good at running routes and not running constant scramble drills so he suffered compared to other targets.redag06 said:

People are talking about Diggs attitude. Lance Zierlein said CJ Stroud doesn't put up with anything, and the team knows it. That's pretty awesome that a rookie has garnered that much respect (even playing at the level he did).
