People are freaking because we have a bunch of cap space and the expensive players are gone. I think nick is counting on signing a bunch of the guys that are getting replace with maybe 1 or 2 bigger guys that "aren't" on the market.

I agree. I actually think Derrick Henry might be a sneaky good addition and fit if that's who they sign. He is a good run blocker and would score a lot of TDs in this offense. Or if they sign a couple of backs to smaller contracts and add another WR in the draft with a year of developement for tank, Metchie and Hutchinson they should have enough weapons.

610 has been running a promo all week...

saying the Texans would win free agency because of the "DeMeco advantage"

It's moreso that they're not spending the cap space they have.

Even if you overpay a bit if you have the space you should be spending it. Everyone is spending it so that theoretically puts you at a disadvantage.

DeMeco 0 - DeMoney 1

We're back to panic mode, just like how we handled free agency last year, and look at that disaster of a season we had. So, we should definitely panic again because DeMeco and Nick obviously don't know what they're doing and will never get this team moving in the right direction......

With that bit of sarcasm out of the way, let's all take a step back. This is exactly what we did last year. And while I wanted Wilkins and some of the other big names that went on day 1, I'm not going to get *****y because we didn't do that and instead are executing the exact same plan that was incredibly successful last year. So again, take a step back, take a deep breath and do something we all hate on TexAgs....wait

To be fair last offseason was a different situation.

They were a 2-14 team and the laughing stock of the league with an unknown rookie QB with limited cap space. It wasn't in any way shape or form a good time to spend in FA.

Completely different situation this time around.

I'm a little disappointed that we haven't landed some of the big names, but I like the moves we have made. Low risk guys and good value. Still need some needle movers though.

I would've been upset if we did sign him

I like Al-Shair but he's not as good in coverage as Cashman so I will be interested to see the fit.

Hoping we can get Leonard Williams and maybe Kendall Fuller. Would be great second waive gets.

At this point, I just need them to address the RB position in FA and not just in the draft…take a swing with Henry and see where that gets you….I was OK with not landing Barkley given what that contract could end up being.

This offense doesn't need a big name RB, and signing one is kind of a waste unless it's a true game changer like CMC. Also, I don't think Henry really fits this offense that well, as they want to use the RB all over the place. I would prefer Aaron Jones if we can get him for around 7 or 8 million (or less), he fits this offense very well.

There must be some attainable RBs in the draft Nick and Meco like.

I get it, right now they have 2 RB's on the roster and both weren't all that great last year…hopefully they can figure it out, because the more weapons CJ has, the better.

A lot of speculation that Henry is headed to Baltimore and Aaron Jones to the Texans. If true, this was worth the wait. Aaron Jones is a better fit than anyone we missed out on today. He is a big upgrade over Singletary. They will also sign another RB or draft one unless Pierce is suddenly the answer again.

Signing the rest of the titans. Might as well sign Henry too.

I agree. No to Henry. He's a 30 year old power runner that's about to lose a step. And it's going to take a contract of longer than 1 or 2 years - no thanks.

I'd be pretty happy with Aaron Jones for the right contract.

I agree this would be a good move if they can get him for around the Swift/Pollard price. Jones is great in a zone scheme and great at catching passes out of the backfield.

I don't buy it. We have all seen him break a girl's face. Not a Texans type of signing.

Aaron Jones makes more sense.

Wonder what his contract is? But, I have a feeling the whole "I'm gonna show them" mentality got him here. Because I have no clue why someone on offense would go to the Vikings right not, considering they have no QB.

1 year - $7M - certainly we could have offered a bit more than that given the cap space.

I'm not nearly as concerned about RB as many on here. I would have loved Saquon, but not at the price tag he got. RB just isn't a position we should be spending big on, IMO.
