Surprised people in here want to spend big money on a RB. Don't need a superstar at that position to win, spend the money elsewhere. I have my doubts that the Packers are going to keep Jacobs and Aaron Jones, that seems like a spot where you can land a solid talent still if you are willing to be in the 10 mill ballpark at RB.
After reaching agreement today with free-agent RB Josh Jacobs, the Packers informed RB Aaron Jones that he is being released, per source. Jones now will be a free agent. pic.twitter.com/KsZAfhl5lW

#Texans signing Jeff Okudah to one-year, $4.75 million deal with $2.5 million guaranteed, $1.5M signing bonus @KPRC2

Depending on the money, Ekeler or Aaron Jones would be great in this offenseJohnny Foosball said:
Why is no one talking about Austin Ekeler? I would love him catching passes out of the backfield
That's a good signing, we can use the deep CB class to draft someone with starter potential and slowly bring him up to speed. Also have to believe we're passing on Xavien Howard unless we get a really nice deal.Habanero Guero said:#Texans signing Jeff Okudah to one-year, $4.75 million deal with $2.5 million guaranteed, $1.5M signing bonus @KPRC2

Autry isn't young, he's 33 but had 11.5 sacks last year with Tennessee. He also had 12 tackles for loss and 17 QB hits. He played in all 17 games, started 14, and played 67% of the defensive snaps. Greenard had 12.5 sacks, 15 tackles for loss, and 22 QB hits. While Autry is older and not quite as productive as Greenard, Greenard is twice as expensive.TheNotoriousP.I.P. said:

Yeah, Casario does well with these sneaky good signings. And like the Okudah signing it gives us flexibility to draft a starter level player at the position and not have to worry about a lot of money already tied up by someone who can play there until the rookie is ready.Max Power said:Autry isn't young, he's 33 but had 11.5 sacks last year with Tennessee. Ironically he actually fits in DeMeco's defense, but that said, he's depth and special teams.Texan_Aggie said:

It is a bitt crazy, because you have to believe that if DeMeco really wanted one of these big name guys, they would have gone and got him.LincolnBorglum79 said:
Houston sports talk guys are freaking out with the lack of big name signings. They gotta have Derrick Henry or else.
Lol. Just calm down guys. All of the big name RBs have flaws and Barkley signed for a possible 47 M way more than the Texans wanted to pay for 3 injury plagued years. He is
From Phily.
Aaron Jones is now being released and he is a better fit than Barkley or any of the other guys were. Singletary is going to NYG so the Texans still need a back or two in free agency or the draft.
Media freak outs over no big news should be expected I guess.
