Don't we pick 2nd and 3rd in round 4 when it starts tomorrow. We could still get 2 solid players to start the day.

Between AJ, Ringo, and Clark Phillips they'll have a shot at a solid DB tomorrow.

Based purely on the ESPN draft grades Adebawore & Ringo are the best value.
Kiper has hated on the Texans picks for two days now. I'm thinking this might actually turn out all right!

If Mel hates our picks we have hit home runs. That guy thought Ryan Leaf was better than Peyton Manning. He had Levis as the top QB. If you draft who he suggests you will always be picking high every year.
Tyreek Hill was a fifth round pick. Tank Dell is underrated.

I like Ringo as an upside pick, but he has bust potential from what I can gather. He may need to be a safety due to his hips, but struggles with reads and zone coverage. Not a good combo. Darius Rush is another big, fast CB with upside too.
I wouldn't be surprised if we go offense as well. TE or swing OT. Tytus Howard has struggled to stay healthy. I hope we grab a RB at some point as well, just not in the early 4th.

It's a good comparison from a size point of view, but I think RIngo is better also...also ironically Ringo has a higher prospect grade by most publications, but we took Lonnie in the 2nd round and Ringo is still available in the 4th.Ryan34 said:Pahdz said:

Yeah, I liked Tillman, but the same impact concerns can be said about deep threat WR in an Art Briles offense. So it's all a toss up. I do like Tank's change of direction abilities, compared to the strait line speed of Hyatt and Tillman.LB12Diamond said:

First thing that's really made me feel good about this draft.
I'm not sure about taking another ILB in the 4th. I think there are some guys later who could be good fits.
I want one of the 4ths to be a DB. Whoever they like the most.
DL or TE with the other. Will Mallory and Zack Kuntz are intriguing to me. The learning curve at TE is usually pretty steep, so getting a high upside one now who can take a year to grow may not be a bad idea.

Wouldn't mind To'oTo'o, don't think he will ever be a pro bowler but I have confidence he will be a high floor rock solid LB

Looks like we traded 105 to the Eagles for a 2024 3rd round pick
Raiders traded 109 (7th pick in the 4th) and 174 (39th pick in 5th round) for the 104 pick and 203 (6th round)
Solid move, restock the 3rd we send for Anderson
I like both of those deals.
So we move down to 109 and pick up an extra 5th this year and a 3rd next year with the 2 trades

Me too. And doesn't jive with the attempt to get players now that they were executing earlier in the draft.
We didn't have a 3rd pick in 2024. Now we do

First point makes sense if that's how they view the talent at this point compared to projections for next year. However, saying 3rd round vs 4th round may not mean a whole lot if the sequence is four picks difference for the price of more talent this season.
I'm not arguing the logic one way or the other. You guys were happy and I was just trying to make sure I understood the reason. Carry on!
