Good thing we don't let jock strap washers evaluate talent

Tank Dell is awesome. He does everything well and is electric with the ball in his hands.
Jalen Hyatt has great speed, but he is a little stiff and ran a Mickey Mouse route tree in college. There are so many things Slowik will ask his receivers to do that Hyatt has never done.
lmao yeah the guy definitely doesn't know what he's talking about at all. Dude played at UH till he blew his Achilles out and retired and wanted to stay with the team.Pahdz said:

Don't let 409 know, he talked to a UH manager…

Houston might be planning on using him as a gadget guy that they get the ball to around 15 times a game and he hits the big play. That 's a big staple of the offense, but it is kind of odd considering what the offense usually likes as a WR .mAgnoliAg said:IrishAg said:Yeah, it's an odd one, and also a step away from the type of WRs they used in San Fran.mAgnoliAg said:
Seems like a good slot option but don't we need one more outside guy? We are good in the slot
I guess we are planning on playing Robert woods and Collins out wide and Metchie and Dell inside. If that was the plan going into today then I'm fine with this, although I thought Robert woods was better inside

Texans are drunk on trade ups.
Dumb.
Take the BPA when it's your turn and move on.
Looking through some Alabama highlights and Metchie can play both slot and outside too.mAgnoliAg said:IrishAg said:Yeah, it's an odd one, and also a step away from the type of WRs they used in San Fran.mAgnoliAg said:

Would have loved to see the giants draft room after we made that pick. Probably the same reaction when the eagles took Reagor over Jefferson!
I'll try to find the stat, but he had an insane amount of red zone TDs. Like twice as much as the next closest receiver in this draft. He's lightning quick off the line, so his size didn't matter at the college level.IrishAg said:Looking through some Alabama highlights and Metchie can play both slot and outside too.mAgnoliAg said:IrishAg said:Yeah, it's an odd one, and also a step away from the type of WRs they used in San Fran.mAgnoliAg said:

I'm looking at Tank Dell highlights on Youtube right now and I'm really surprised at how many TD catches he made when the team was within the 10 yard line. He has an amazing ability to change directions.

Post-Draft Analysis
The Texans' leading receiver in 2022, Brandin Cooks, ranked 53rd overall, and they traded him. While they signed Robert Woods and tight end Dalton Schultz, they need to continue adding talented pass-catchers. Since the start of 2021, no FBS receiver has more receiving yards (2,727) or touchdown catches (29) than Dell.

Hyatt is a specific vertical type receiver where Tank gives you elite punt returner and an easy separator from the slot. I think Hyatt has a chance to be a very dangerous threat but I LOVE Tank in this spot. Unguidable with great footwork. https://t.co/sAo52LGU85

I wonder if we could give a 4th and 6th to jump into the end of the 3rd round.
That's a good point toocoastalAg said:
If we want a LB then it might be a good time to sneak into the third. To'o may not make it back to us in the fourth.
