All of today's games were awesome. The cowboys game tomorrow makes me incredibly nervous lol

I have ZERO expectations for the Boys tomorrow. Just going to BBQ, chug some beers, and enjoy the experience.
I've been a Dallas fan since SuperBowl 13. I don't know a single fan who actually expects they'll do their jobs and get a win.

Maybe if Jimmy Johnson could be honorary coach tonight.

I hope I'm wrong, but I feel 99% certain the Cowboys will lose tonight.

Well the first Sunday of playoffs is over and the cowboys are still in it if it makes you feel any better

Agree. No conference in them

Changing the subject a bit, but the most interesting stat I saw all weekend was that SF opponents were 0-15 the week after playing SF this season. They don't just beat you; they beat you up. I know the game is pass-happy, and maybe I'm overreacting, but that single piece of info has me thinking that SF is the favorite to win the SB. I remember watching the Oilers in the late 90's, and their defense was just crunching people. They were just young and violent, but they weren't winning a whole lot yet. I told myself that they would be a SB team soon. Sure enough, they went (as the Titans) a couple of years later.

The Dallas defense played that way during the early part of the season, and the Giants were like that the year they beat the 18-0 Patriots, after a 9-7 regular season.

CNN is an enemy of the state and should be treated as such.

He's done. A new Dallas kicker will be coming to Santa Clara (assuming they hold on).

Brady to the Raiders seems like a good fit

Brady has officially entered the very uncomfortable hung around too long phase of his career. Yes they won their division, but 8-9 in a division with the Saints, Falcons, and Panthers is dismal. He'll be 46 in August, he needs to figure out what his great passion is after football and start getting to it.

If he had figured that out, he might still be married. But honestly, maybe he played this season because it meant he didn't have to be married any more. I'm not his confidant for sure.

I did see an interview with him 8 - 10 years ago, I think, and he was totally lost as to what he would do without football. I don't mean "I really love this." I mean like "lost soul." As a Christian I just felt sorry for him; it was obvious that he had no clue about eternal things. Growing old is tough; I'm a few years older than Brady. I get it. But I also take solace in knowing there's a God in heaven who walked in my shoes, who has prepared a meaningful life for me, and has also prepared an eternal home for me. I totally respect Brady and his greatness, but I also know that if things haven't changed, he's clueless.

and it may be about the money.

just can't retire when he knows a team will pay him $10 to $20 MM for 1 season of football.

even though he has millions already -- in his mind it doesn't make sense to walk away when a big payday is still available

It's not about the money. He'll make that much in a TV booth without putting his body and life at risk.

My dad was able to retire at 50 thanks to a really fantastic pension plan an stock options. He was miserable when he retired and really lousy to be around, to the point where I stopped going to my parents' house for a while because of it. Then he found the joy of Ebay and estate sales and has been doing that for the past 25 years, making great money and educating himself about a whole other world.

I can picture it:

I love the George Blanda story: Played for Bear Bryant, George Halas, Wally Lemm, Sammy Baugh, and John Madden (among others). In the NFL/AFL/NFL from 1949 to 1976.

Lead the Oilers to their first championship. The guy got to play with Sid Luckman and Johnny Lujack at the beginning and ends up with Kenny Stabler, Cliff Branch and those Raiders teams with a ton of guys in between.

If Brady still likes playing, I'd tell him to keep at it until he doesn't want to anymore or no teams think he is worth it.

In George Blanda's rookie year of 1949, my parents were 1 year old.
In his last year of 1975, I was 1 year old.
