It does not look good. Got thrown down and his hands cringed up. Looks bad.

Prayers.

They're saying the hands locking up is a neurological response to head trauma.

After last week, he should not have been playing.

***** That's nauseating to see. Hope he's ok.

Hard to speculate now. If he was forced to play - woof. What if he insisted? Don't want to jump to conclusions yet BUT if he was FORCED to play, this might get interesting.

And it is insane to me he wasn't getting rid of the ball in any hurry. He should have been told above all else to not take a hit.

I don't know what you might mean by "forced". Nobody is forced in the nfl. Heavily coerced, maybe, but I can't imagine a team not being very prudent in this day and age, especially with their new star QB. But what do I know.

Just hope he's ok… for football and for the rest of his life.

this just became the #1 story in the NFL for the 1st half of the season (at least)

That's called a fencing response and it's most likely a moderate to severe TBI. Could be a brain stem injury.

Fair enough. What I mean in this case is the Dolphins ignoring medical advice from doctors ("he shouldn't play") and/or backup from Tua himself "I'm too hurt to play" but he was started anyway.

It's correct. Happened to me in 8th grade; compressed vertebrae from a "bad stinger". Anytime my right arm fell asleep my right hand would curl up like that and I'm talking about for at least 15 years.

They clearly don't give a **** about him. They went after Watson hardcore, they went after Brady to the point of getting charged with tampering. He never should have gone back in last week vs. Buffalo. You're right, you can't force an adult to do something, but you can weigh on them and tell them about sacrifice and committment and greatness and leadership and a bunch of other BS that makes a 24-year old think "I've GOT to play"

That guy seems like an attention *****. He speaks as if things are 100% facts when he doesn't have access to any real data.

Not saying Miami are in the right, i just hate people that act like they know something when they just throw an idea against a wall.

Of course you can force them. You can, as a medical professional, not allow them to play in order to properly recover.

Or you can say here are the risks, I advise you dont play, but the player decides. In this day and age docs can get sued the other way too

I just caught up with this story on TNF. Im my professional opinion the mechanism and stumble last week were nearly 100% a concussion. I'm very interested to know what specific tests were done to allow him to get out of the concussion protocol. Between the head shake and stumble just hard to say that was just back and ankle pain.

The hand clenching with neurotrauma is common and basically a mini seizure. If he indeed didn't have a concussion last week likely no biggie. If he was still in recovery from Sunday, which is what I believe to be true, this is a 2nd severe concussion in under a week and very high risk of cerebral edema and severe health risk.

Then that makes it even more absurd he's tweeting at the Dolphins calling for people to be jailed.

Especially considering it sounds like Tuas been discharged and flying home with the team.
