I'm curious if the team did or didn't want to play him. I kind of like the idea that the first game he gets to play is us. Bring it.

This is the Browns, not a normal franchise. I'd bet they play him and promote the heck out of it on social media as Deshaun's first game!!!*

*Against the former team he quit on and city in which he allegedly abused 26+ women.

It's no coincidence on the suspension length, and was probably specified that his ass will be out there as part of the agreement.

Well, I'm glad for you Houston guys it got extended because I know you have at least draft pick considerations in limbo based on the Browns record. But it's still BS... should have been a 1 year suspension.

As a Cowboys fan comparison, I know all too well how they banned Randy Gregory for a year because he used pot to cope with his issues... but Watson will be allowed back on the field this year. Ridiculous.

Gregory didn't break the law if he played for Denver... which coincidently enough, he does now.

Watson, legally speaking hasn't been convicted of breaking any laws. Being able to convict doesn't mean he didn't break them.

I got to see bits and pieces of the game last night and this morning, and I have to say there was a lot of things to like in this game. Still a long way to go, but the intensity was there from start to finish, that's for sure. 6 sacks for the Texans defense.

Mills looked very rough, but he's also very inexperienced. He seems to have a good demeanor even when terrible though. Hopefully he finds his rhythm and can build throughout the season.

Sting got picked on and had a nice play, but he looked every bit of not playing last year.

This team is very green and will be bad, but they should get better as these young guys get reps.

Granted it's against defenders who won't be in the league, but the run game looked way better than anything we've seen recently. Refreshing not to see David Johnson run into a blob of players for a 1 yard loss.

It's tough to gauge on the offense since neither Green or Tunsil are playing right now. That should change the makeup of the o-line, so the running game is a toss up.

Mills looked really rough at some points, but also good in others. I think getting timing back with Nico and then bringing in Cooks will give us some opportunities this year.

I don't have a ton of expectations on defense, but I did like that they looked pretty aggressive. I'll take aggressive with mistakes over trying to play passive and getting ground up by more talented teams.

Overall I'm still thinking 4 to 7 wins, but with a lot of close games. We're still a few years away, but for the first time in a long time, I like the direction we're heading in.

Gotta save those secret plays for the regular season.

Stingley vs. Pittman in week 1 should be a fun matchup.

the schedule starts slow for the Texans with regard to facing great WR's.

however they will start showing up on the schedule after the bye week

From what I've heard Kenyon hasn't looked too good.

Even before his concussion he was struggling.

Hopefully he gets in there and with reps gets back in track.
