Wouldn't it have more sense to do that as a part of the Watson trade? I don't understand trying that now, especially if Mills is getting a chance to start for the whole season.

I just read that the Texans are going to explore the Baker Mayfield trade market. That can't be true can it?
Yes. I was confused as to why they didn't make Cleveland include Mayfield in the first place.Max Power said:

I don't think the Texans would be GIVING a pick to get Mayfield. This would have to be like when we dumped Brock with Cleveland for a 2nd round pick. Make them give us their 2nd this year.superaggie73 said:dc509 said:Yes. I was confused as to why they didn't make Cleveland include Mayfield in the first place.Max Power said:

I know nothing about it, but I'm guessing Cleveland was overvaluing Baker at the time of the trade. We probably excluded him to get the best draft package for Watson. Now that nobody is willing to give up anything of value for Baker, maybe we are good giving up a 5th round pick for him. Just my guess.
Take the 2nd round pick off Brocks head, staple it to Bakers and send him this wayTexan_Aggie said:I don't think the Texans would be GIVING a pick to get Mayfield. Maybe, but with other options on the table I think they could have leveraged him into the deal. Cleveland desperately needed Watson.superaggie73 said:dc509 said:Yes. I was confused as to why they didn't make Cleveland include Mayfield in the first place.Max Power said:

The #Texans traded DB Lonnie Johnson Jr. to the #Chiefs for a 2024 conditional 7th round pick, source said.

Conditional 7th round pick. I'd rather have them stock my machines with soda.Ryan34 said:. . . said:The #Texans traded DB Lonnie Johnson Jr. to the #Chiefs for a 2024 conditional 7th round pick, source said.

Out of character? The guy that smeared crap on the walls of a hotel room, yeah....not so sure about character.
Yeah, it was the 2nd round pick they got for Hopkins.Texan_Aggie said:
Was it is pick they got in return for Hopkins they flipped to get Cooks?
That's right, forgot we had two 2nd rounders that year after the Hopkins trade and the original one went to the Rams for Cooks.BMX Bandit said:
the pick they got for Hopkins was used to take Ross Blacklock.
Exactly!Ryan34 said:
People had strong suspicion that Hopkins wouldn't age well even before the trade. Still doesn't excuse the awful return they got.
Perhaps he lost a poop slap bet?redag06 said:
