The longer it takes them, the better, I hate the Colts. They get a generational talent in Peyton Manning, he gets hurt and they get another generational talent in Andrew Luck. After seeing what happened to us with Watson it makes me even madder to be snake bitten like us with what they've had fall into their lap. Our last no 1 pick was Clowney, we all know how that worked out as well.Texan_Aggie said:
Colts are kind of making their last swipe at a run. They've been rotating older vet qbs through the lineup since Luck left and, at some point, they'll probably have to go for a younger qb. I don't see that this makes them a playoff contender but they're kind of if in the "not good enough to be great, not bad enough to be a top pick" purgatory.
Another team brought up in the Deebo chatter is the Jets, but for whatever reason, most of the focus I've heard is on Houston. https://t.co/EkhRwuRnnI

Guess a lot of people are just seeing this now. The reason I sent it last night is because I had a feeling something might break soon.

-Major point: I don't know if 49ers and HOU have had talks or if that would be Deebo's 1st choice. But there's chatter that HOU is interested. https://t.co/PLgWTshzRG
It's no surprise, but I've been told a team to watch in any possible WR trade talk around the draft is Houston, which holds the 3rd and 13th picks in the first round. 13th seems like the one in conversations. That of course would include any potential Deebo Samuel interest.

I think as of today he's requested a trade, I'm curious if it's money or other things, or both. He's on a good team with a good HC that went on the road and beat Green Bay in the playoffs with Jimmy G. Right now SF still has a QB issue, they haven't traded Jimmy G, and I have no idea what the story is on Trey Lance. He's a big part of why that offense works in addition to Kittle. The other question for him is where could he end up that he's in a better situation? Green Bay traded Adams to the Raiders, a team like GB makes way more sense, even though they're still in the NFC. I just don't see trading away high end draft assets for a guy that wants a new deal. Houston has their first 1st round picks in years, and the assets required for Samuel will be substantial, look at the Adams trade. The only way I'd support it is if SF accepts what we accepted from Arizona for Hopkins, that I could live with.Ag_07 said:
Excuse the ignorance but why is SF interested in moving Deebo?
Isn't he a key piece for them? Did he request a trade?

This is exactly what I thought.BMX Bandit said:
if he is disgruntled on a winning team, how is he going to act with a team nowhere near being in contention for league championship game?
trading a first rounder would be BoB level dumb.
Yes almost exactly what I've stated twice now. Regardless of the intent of the leak, there's a reason why the SF reporter mentioned two terrible franchises with a lot draft assets.AG@RICE said:
The Texans aren't interested in trading for Debo. The 49ers leaked this story to scare him straight, the same way parents might use the Boogeyman.
Plenty of teams need a WR and would value Debo. The fact that the SF reporter picked the biggest dumpster fire organization without any real source is all you need to know.
I would bet it's a leverage play around not only getting the new contract, but also getting more than the usual amount of guaranteed money (or after Watson, trying to get the whole contract guaranteed) to ease his worries about the role.Max Power said:
Did some digging on his contract situation, since he said this doesn't have to do with the money. Guess what? He's scheduled to make $3.6MM this year, $1.6MM guaranteed, and this is the last season. He's the 83th highest paid WR of 380. He's in the position to get paid, I don't blame him for trying to get his money considering his second deal will be huge and he doesn't want to jeopardize that. He's in line for over $20MM/year, after that deal is signed I don't think he'll be as worried about usage if the money is locked down.

You guys are overthinking this. The guy that won Cal's fantasy league last year had Deebo. So now Cal wants Deebo.
This may just be a joke, but you can't really rule it out.
I would be just fine with them taking Kyle Hamilton...I would prefer it at 13 (if he fell that far), but I wouldn't be angry at all of they took Hamilton at 3.Ags #1 said:
Article saying lots of teams at top of draft trying to trade down but not many want to move up, which is expected imo. Just dont draft a safety at 3. Thats all i ask
Sucks to suck.W said:
there's just a lack of surefire top 10 picks this year.
(which always seems to happen with the Texans have high picks)
Trade: Patriots dealt their fifth-round pick to the Texans for their sixth- and seventh-round picks, per sources.
