I bet he'll come back sometime. Too good, too competitive.

He lead the NFL in yards and TD's this year, so he's still at the top. He just probably doesn't want to go through Tampa Bays inevitable roster upheaval this offseason, along with the family time stuff.

Plus he didn't have a pompous farewell tour, so it's not like it'll be embarrassing to go back on his word.

I think he wanted to go out on top of his game and not just sorta peter out like Big Ben.

I can absolutely respect that. He is not going to ever want for money or exposure. The only thing left is on field record and he can protect that without tainting it with a sad degradation. Plus, he has nothing to prove to anyone anymore and I think that applies to himself finally.

Just my wild ass guess.

Never thought I'd see the day. He's been on top of the NFL for my whole life. It will be strange to watch football without him. Definitely a good set of young QBs to take the mantle though.

Fitting career for a journeyman quarterback. Good but not great. Too slow to ever be a great NFL quarterback. Maybe he will make the HOF with some luck on his second attempt. Solid top 20 all time QB, what can you expect from a 6th round draft pick.
