Could be similar to how I got value by preemptively grabbing Sony Michel early last wk who actually won me the matchup with Mahomes' pooper

I have Lamar and put in a waiver claim for Taysom Hill. It sucks because Lamar should be a set and forget QB, but the o-line play has just been awful in Baltimore. That being said, Taysom may really only be a one week solution. After @NYJ, Hill's schedule is @TB, vs Mia, vs Car.

Because of nfl greed for an extra week of games and nobody wants their ffl season determined in week 18 by the patriots 5th string running back and the cardinals 3rd string quarterback

Better question is why does the league have bye weeks in week 14

playoffs should be weeks 15,16,17.. weeks 14 (several teams on bye) and week 18 (several teams resting starters for real playoffs) should be excluded from FF playoffs.

I've never seen week 14 as a FF playoff week. JT owners have to be super pissed.

We do 2 weeks each for playoffs so 1 lousy week doesn't kill you. 14 and 15 for semis, 16 and 17 for the title.

that's because NFL added week 18... so what used to be 13 and 17 is now 14 and 18.... but my point remains - FF playoffs shouldn't include weeks where teams are still having byes and shouldn't include the final week of regular season.

My league used to always do 2 week matchups so would either include week 14 or 18. This year with the late bye, I made sure we changed that since I was targeting JT so heavily...Colts, Dolphins, Pats, and Eagles on bye. So many fantasy relevant dudes on those teams...

so can't have playoffs decided on 1 week of performances, but playoffs including a week where several key players do not even play is acceptable?


what's the point of even avoiding week 18 if you're going to include week 14?
including either week is a straight joke and prob means your league doesn't play for money

How important is it to try to secure #1 seed for playoffs if I'm guaranteed no worse than #2?

My team is in first place. If I lose week 14, I'll finish dropping to 2nd place. Either way, 1&2 get a bye in week 15.. I guess theoretically, the 1 seed would have a weaker match-up in the semi in week 16. ...but this week, I've got five players on bye and two players highly questionable with only one available player on the bench. I don't have a lot of good options to drop if I need to pick up an emergency flex, which I guess would probably be J'Mycal Hasty as an emergency backup plan for Eli Mitchell.

I'd take the L and focus on the playoffs

Hoping for Eli or Tee declared out early so i can use for IR spot
