When asked over and over about Deshaun his explanation was 'He wasn't in camp and didn't get the reps so we've got see where's he at. Everyone is competing for a job. That's what training camp is'.
Like anyone is buying that he actually needs to see Deshaun get reps in a system he knows for him to determine he's better than Tyros Taylor, Jeff Driskel, or Davis Mills.

Seriously, this might be the dumbest thing I see kids do right now. Full on hoodies when it's 90-100 degrees outside with humidity to boot. Every day I see at least one of them without fail. I used to think it was bad when it's freezing cold outside and I see there's a kid wearing shorts waiting for the school bus. Why would anyone wear a hoodie, with the damn hood up when it's crazy hot outside?

I hear what you are saying and it is well founded, but due to the crappy nature of his contract, the Texans are saving somewhere around $4.5 million this year by making the deal based on what I saw from the Texans cap guy on Twitter.

Cobb deal was getting a draft pick for a player that would be useless and/or cut by the Texans. Caserio has done a decent job untangling the mess BoB left.
Ceserio has done a good job of untangling the mess, he is not a miracle worker, but I think he has done a good job.
Cobb's contract was atrocious and he was a zero on the field. Getting rid of his contract plus a pick in return is a steal.

I don't know if that's necessarily fair. For what he is (primarily a run stopper), he's pretty damn good. The problem comes when you want him to be a pass rushing end (which it looks like he was sent from central casting for that job) that he is disappointing.

It's weird how much I'm looking forward to this season. I'm ready for it to start so I can get a good spot lined up and watch the suck. It's hard to remember being this optimistically pessimistic.
