Would you sign Demarcus Ware in FA after this season? This team is like the 91 Cowboys, everything but the pass rush. Where is the modern day Charles Haley?

I would love to see D Ware back here to finish up his career. He would have to sign a very cap friendly deal, but he would be a rotational guy playing on passing downs.
The draft is also gonna have lots of DE talent this year so we should be able to improve here one way or another.

Yep, it's even more similar to Brady taking over for Bledsoe. Eerily similar.
Long time cornerstone QB gets hurt and loses his job to a young QB who nobody expected to be anything special. Brady and Dak also both had long college careers filled with success but were under appreciated by NFL scouts.
Um. Didn't Brady sit the bench behind one of our flops at QB in college? He wasn't just a baller like Dak.
Brady sat behind Griese for two years and won a MNC in one. Then he battled Henson for the job and ended up starting 25 games. Went 20-5 and won two bowl games. That's a better winning percentage than Dak albeit probably on better teams.
You remember his time differently then me.BassCowboy33 said:Ag Natural said:Reginald Cousins said:Ag Natural said:

My most vivid memory of Brady in college was him being absolutely terrible in a loss to Illinois. I think that Illinois team had Kurt Kittner who dominated the day. I watched over a dozen Brady/Henson games at Michigan and I was completely underwhelmed. He was inaccurate, immobile, and was erratic on deeper throws. I keep reading that he would've been a 3rd pick if not for injury, but I didn't see it at the time.
That being said, I also famously predicted in that same era that LT would be a bust in San Diego.
So you admit his college career as a starter was not long i.e., like Dak's.Ag Natural said:Reginald Cousins said:Ag Natural said:

Hard to argue what he's done in the league though.
Would have loved to see him get a shot outside of Belichick. Wanna know if it's all Brady or not.
They have won with 3 different quarterbacks this year.

Thanks, that's what I was looking for.
that was cool to see Belicek giving that big hug to Saban at the end of that video. Saban looks like a little kid.Duck Patrol said:BassCowboy33 said:Duck Patrol said:
Here's a fun fact. The Ravens are the only team in the NFL that the Cowboys have never beaten. They are 0-4 against them.
Ravens are also 0-4 against teams with winning records this season. Also, if you want to take it further back, Dallas lost to Cleveland in 1994 when Novacek was stopped six inches short of the goal line as time expired. I think the final was 20-16 or something like that. Dallas did beat that team in 1990 or 1991 if my brain remembers correctly.
Edit: The score was 19-14. Here's the video of the final play.
I think they lumped the old Browns' record with the current Browns instead of leaving it with Baltimore. They used to have a monster defense at a time when the Cowboys were trotting out the Hutchinsons and Hensons. Some of those beat downs were brutal. Should be a fairly stressful Sunday, but who knows!
I think we are going to have to get lucky in the draft unless we can trade Romo for a pass rusher. I've seen projections where the Cowboys are already $9-12 million over the cap next year.jr15aggie said:TMACsDaMan said:

Cowboy defense isn't the greatest in the world, but it's better than people think. They're giving up less than 19 points per game, which puts them in top third of the NFL.

Copycat league... how long before we see more teams drafting O-line 1st round in back to back years trying to copy Dallas?
FYI, Baltimore has 14 total offensive TDs this season. Dallas has scored 16 offensive TDs.... rushing!

New information, but I digress.
If the nerve is even partly firing - super huge news for the franchise whether he gets on the field or not this season. We will know by 11/22 what their plans are.
Too much to keep up with there... Is Orlando Ayala there as well?Gigem Trevas said:Reginald Cousins said:I see no coverage - came out late 11/17.Orlando Ayala Cant Read said:yes, but i believe this is being chalked up to the usual jerry jones over optimism dynamic.Reginald Cousins said:

Reggie. This was discussed in the legends board if you would check in once in awhile.
