Being reported he killed this guy because the guy knew about the other murders.

And the people who were killed in 2012 worked for a cleaning company...maybe THEY knew too much about something else. Infinite loop.

Also from Reddit today, the last guy to tackle Aaron Hernandez was Bernard Pollard.

/cue Twilight Zone music

What's so weird about that?

Because Pollard is known as the Patriot Killer. His tackling is responsible for Brady's season-ending ACL/MCL tear in 2008, Gronk's high ankle sprain in the 2011 playoffs, and Ridley's concussion in last season's AFC championship game. Pollard was also the last guy to touch Welker before his ACL/MCL tear in 2009.

Prosecutors saying they beliwve the gun he took a picture with is the murder weapon.

http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/06/27/prosecutor-suggests-glock-in-hernandez-photo-was-murder-weapon/

quote:
“There was a photo that was shown on the Internet of the defendant holding a Glock .45,” McCauley said. “That Glock — there’s good reason to believe the firearm that killed Mr. Lloyd was a Glock because the Glock has a rifling system that is different than most firearms.”

McCauley also revealed that investigators found more evidence when they executed a search warrant on Wednesday on a condominium leased by Hernandez. That evidence includes ammunition of the same caliber as the ammunition found at the murder scene.

I just look at Hernandez in prison scrubs and cuffs, and I just can't imagine what's going through his head.

He now realizes that he may never see the outside again. Never lay in a king size bed. Never have a nice meal. His life is over.

Just fascinating.

It doesn't seem like he cares. I think that's just the thug mindset. It actually seems as if he's proud of what he did.

According to Jim Wyatt of the Tennessean, Pollard has a hand-written message taped to the front of his locker at the Titans facility which reads: “Goal — Super Bowl. Mission — Kill!!!”

If Jon Vilma had that message up, he would be suspended for life.

Saw the county sheriff interviewed by Jeremy Schapp last night. Sheriff explained how he met with Hernandez and explained how things would work. Jeremy asked him how he was doing and the sheriff said fine.

The sheriff did say at one point Hernandez asked, "What if I need a drink?" The sheriff responded, "Well there's a water fountain in your cell and anything beyond that you'll get at your normal meal time."

I'm sure that was a wake up call to Hernandez.

Yeah, heading into yesterday's hearing he was still playing tough guy. Then he sat there and heard the prosecutor rattle off every detail of the murder down to the minute. Details so minute as to the type of bubble gum he bought at a specific gas station.

He had no idea they had figured it out until then.

Looks like they've located the silver SUV that was used in the 2012 double murders.

Unbelievable.

This is looking more and more like Aaron Hernandez was NFL star by day, serial killer/crime boss orchestrating hits by night.

Aaron Hernandez, who was charged with murdering an associate this week, was linked to the Bristol Bloods gang, based in Bristol, Conn., according to a report.

TMZ obtained a photo of who appears to be Hernandez, wearing red, flashing a purported gang sign for the Bristol Bloods. At the time the photo was taken, Hernandez was a 17-year-old high school student.

The website also pointed out that Hernandez, 23, has a red “blood” tattoo on his right hand.

Something tells me that Aaron Hernandez will not hold tight end status on his release from prison.

Not being a quasi-millionaire myself I may be asking a dumb question but is it normal for these guys to just rent cars?
birdman
How long do you want to ignore this user?
I wondered about the rental cars as well.

I don't know what type of car he rented. Maybe it was really upscale and he wanted to show off?

Or he wanted to kill a guy and didn't want his personal car to be seen in the area.

well, the car that has finally been found from the double homicide last year was another rental that I think was rented by him. He likely has been living the thug life for some time now and has committed multiple crimes, low and high level, so thug life says don't take your own car...rent one or whatever.

Only thing I can come up with.
txaggie02
How long do you want to ignore this user?
One thing that I don't understand is how the keys to Hernandez's rental car were found in the victim's pocket. How does that happen? Did Hernandez get two sets of keys? Or we're the keys in the victim's pocket to another rental car?

When you are a high roller like Hernandez, you like to rack up Car Rental Loyalty Bucks and Credit Card reward points.

i believe the keys were to a different rental car, IIRC.

How long do you want to ignore this user?
I don't understand why the rental car from the unsolved double homicide is just now being found.

Did the cops look at Hernandez' car rental history and notice he rented the make/model of a car that was spotted at the scene of the earlier crime?

It seems like this could easily be explained away by coincidence. A lot of rental cars look alike.

I must be missing something here.

Maybe they couldn't get a warrant for records from the rental car company until now? I imagine rental car co's don't hand that out for privacy reasons.
Ag_07
How long do you want to ignore this user?
It's not that they couldn't find it...They didn't know which silver SUV in the Boston area to search. That's the only description they had. A silver SUV doesn't get you very far.

Now they've somehow (probably third party cooperation) pinned it to the one Hernandez rented and go pull that specific car and search it.
Guitarsoup
How long do you want to ignore this user?
Yeah, they didn't have a plate number. Just that it was a silver SUV with RI plates. Hernandez happened to have rented that at that time. Don't know how they know it is the SUV that was apart of that dive by, though.

Also interesting, the guy that Hernandez shot in the face, was shot in the face on Feb 13th in the early AM.

That evening, he did a photoshoot with a photographer I know. That photographer gives an account of what Hernandez was like on his blog, not realizing that that was the same day Hernandez shot a man in the face.
