You'd be surprised how many gangs are out there in suburbia.

The town I live in was recently selected as one of the top 10 cities for young families in Texas. We have 13 known gangs with over 300 known gang members. Granted, for a city of 100,000 that's not that bad.

We also had a girl living in a 350k home in our neighborhood who ran with a gang. Her home was burglarized twice.

Depends on what you mean by not having anything on him. If he was able to get the blood cleaned up (had a professional cleaning crew come in) and gets a Casey Anthony-like jury (one that refuses to convict based on circumstantial evidence no matter how damning) then yeah, I can see this pos getting off scott free.

I'm beginning to think more and more he's going to get off. If the police had something they'd have already issued the arrest warrant.

The police continue to look for evidence and Hernandez is just kicking it at the house.

15 bags of stuff on Saturday and they're still looking and there's no arrest warrant? Sounds like they're turning over every stone and finding nothing.

Or they are taking their time because it is so high profile. No room for mistakes with his defense team

BINGO!!! I think this is what's happening. I think they're using the evidence searching as a facade while they work on breaking the other two guys.

If they don't get a higher charge and just try and stick him with obstruction I think he stays silent and fights that charge in court. Hard to prove he actually obstructed if you can't prove what he got rid of.

I have a problem with flipping people. You want someone more than me and all I have to do is say that person did it and you will take it easy on me? I will lie all the way to the courthouse and back for that deal.

Maybe they think he is the shooter and are trying to make this a close and shut case with just a couple more pieces of evidence.

Seems like they'd have enough evidence for a lesser charge such as the obstruction charge.

Just thinking out loud as the case is becoming more and more intriguing.

Sure, the evidence looks really fishy but he's within his right to destroy his own property and has complied with warrants. In addition he hasn't ran yet ala OJ so in this attorney's mind he's playing it perfectly considering the circumstantial evidence that potentially ties him to the crime.

Which again why 90 percent of convictions are based on circumstantial evidence. Also, eyewitness testimony, meaning someone saw it, is shaky on most occasions unless you knew the murderer.

Did the guy kill himself? No. Did he die of natural causes like cancer or a heart attack? No. Was he murdered? Yes. Then who killed him. If the circumstantial evidence overwhelmingly points toward Hernandez then he is guilty. Does it point that way? Who knows until all the facts are out. But Hernandez just all of a sudden destroying stuff is circumstantial. Is it normal for someone to destroy surveillance equipment? No. Tie that in with a dead guy up the road that Hernandez knew and any reasonable person would conclude he knew something. Again, it is reasonable. I could surmise a Martian killled the deceased. You can't prove that a Martian did not but is it reasonable. Jesus Christ could have defended heaven and whacked the guy. Is that reasoanble?

Hernandez did something. 2+2=4.

I certainly think he's tied to it in some way but as we've seen with OJ and Ray Lewis the obvious doesn't result in a conviction.

I've gone from thinking he would be nailed dead to rights on Friday to thinking there's not going to be enough to get any kind of conviction.

Hernandez has been taken from his home in cuffs.

Now the fun begins as we find out the charges to see how severe they are.

Hernandez wasn't allowed to even put on a shirt. I an guessing pretty severe.

ESPN reporting it was not a surrender situation but multiple police cars arrived and he was taken away in cuffs.

Why on earth they seem to think they need multiple police cars to go to a house of a man and knock on the door and arrest him is beyond me but it gives me something to watch in the break room.

Just saw the video. Police knock on the door and he answers shirtless where they walk in and cuff him and then apparently get a shirt after and just throw on him.

Interesting that he wasn't given the chance to surrender or apparently had a heads up.

EDIT - So obviously there had to be some fear of a flight risk ala OJ so I'm guessing like others it's going to be more than obstruction.

I bet Belichick and Kraft tells him to get lost at this point. He's not worth the distraction and doesn't sound like he was a great teammate anyway.

They are waiting for it to play out. They take a huge salary cap hit if they just cut him. Hernandez signed a 5y40mm contract with 16mm in guarantees in Aug 2012. Hernandez has already been paid ~10mm.

When the league suspends Hernandez, the Pats start getting cap relief.

Apparently, Hernandez' story is that Tim Tebow was over on Monday for a Bible study and Hernandez' phone started ringing. Tebow tried to throw the phone to Hernandez but missed and hit his security system, breaking both.

Supposedly the State of Mass has Tweeted they will not release the charge prior to his arraignment which will likely be later this afternoon.

Legal analysts speculating this is likely a pretty serious charge considering the surprise arrest and no heads up to his legal team. Also assuming there's a cooperating witness.

Somewhere, Ray Lewis is sipping coffee and watching all of this.

Tebow replacing Bill B would make this week complete.

The ironic thing is that Tebow is probably praying for this waste of human flesh.

No offense but I was watching some of the Zimmerman coverage yesterday and a lot of these legal analysts are utter morons. Although I agree the way he was carried off seems like more than just obstruction of justice charges. Then again, cops like to play head games so they could be just trying to rattle him into saying something. Guess we'll find out.
