NSC - checking out profs prior to registration

I was just wondering if there is a way to find out which profs are teaching fall classes and if there is a way to lookup grade distributions or if there are any forums out there that kids can get on to checkout profs as opposed to just showing up at the NSC and singing up for random classes.

Back in the day, I am pretty sure our hard copy catalog had the profs listed for each session (which would end up changing half the time) and you could go to Henderson Hall and look up grade distributions manually. Just wondering what the equivalent for all that is these days.

Thanks in advance!

You can find grade distributions on the A&M website and it is called the Registrar Report. You can also look for reviews of professors on the rate my prof website. A lot of times they don't list the professors for certain courses until right before the semester starts. My son is a freshman in engineering and he said for Math and Chemistry pick a section that shows the location of the class as in the ILCB. It is a nice new building and he says the good profs teach in that building because the classrooms are big and really nice.

Thanks for the info. I did have another question - my son signed up for an NSC date of June 22. He could have gotten something much earlier and asked me if I thought that was OK and I told him yes (I think he was trying to make sure he didn't upset his boss at his summer job by starting and then immediately being out 2 days).

Now, I am second guessing what I told him. It didn't dawn on me that registration was during the NSC. It has been so many years all I could remember was the phone registration system. I am assuming it would have been better to get an early June slot in terms of class availability? I am kicking myself because normally I think through things better than that.

I would think that is fine. I believe they only open so many spots in each section each NSC so that those in later sessions can still get what they need.
