I think James Talarico's support of full legalization of marijuana is the latest sign of his desperation to get votes from undecided voters. He has already said numerous other things to appear moderate. For example, he said, ""I called out Joe Biden for failing us on the border," but Talarico's campaign couldn't give Fox News Digital an example of him ever publicly criticizing Biden during his presidency. Also, he explicitly made a call to put Texas' entire $800 million two-year border security budget toward public education in a 2019 interview with The Austin Chronicle.

I was out on Talarico when he flip flopped and came out as transphobic for not wanting men in women sports. Can't support a Bigot. I'll write in Barack Obama or Lindsay Clancy instead since I'm a good person.
